  • Publication number: 20240165872
Abstract: The present invention relates to powder-layer three-dimensional printers (2) having a discrete supply hopper (340) and a recoater (20). The discrete supply hopper (340) is configured to transfer a build powder to the recoater (20) in a manner that enhances the uniformity of build powder layers that are dispensed from the recoater (20). In some embodiments, at least one of the discrete supply hopper and the powder hopper of the recoater is adapted to selectively contact the other, seal against the other, and/or have one partially inserted inside the other so as to diminish or prevent powder pluming during the transfer of build powder from the discrete supply hopper to the recoater.

  • Patent number: 11972696
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing instruction include at least one instruction site defining an instruction board and at least one instruction piece configured to be received on the instruction site. A user manipulates the at least one instruction piece to perform a change of state operation relating to the instruction. The apparatus and methods are based on applied cognitive science, where children play the lead role in storylines staged upon a rule-enforcing apparatus and by so doing, become self-enlightened about denumerability, rank-wise denumerability, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and other change-of-state processes encountered in mathematics and the quantifiable sciences.

  • Publication number: 20240129053
Abstract: In some embodiments, a first computing device detects a loss of a connection to a first source of timing information that the first computing device and a second computing device use to maintain synchronization with a first clock and a second clock. The first computing device receives a second source of timing information from the second computing device. The second source of timing information is also being transmitted to a third computing device. The first computing device uses the second source of timing information to determine a first timestamp and determines a second timestamp from the first clock. The first computing device uses the first timestamp and the second timestamp to adjust a rate of the first clock where the first clock is used to transmit the second source of timing information from the second computing device to the third computing device.

  • Publication number: 20240127819
Abstract: Modern automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems can utilize artificial intelligence (AI) models to service ASR requests. The number and scale of AI models used in a modern ASR system can be substantial. The process of configuring and reconfiguring hardware to execute various AI models corresponding to a substantial number of ASR requests can be time consuming and inefficient. Among other features, the described technology utilizes batching of ASR requests, splitting of the ASR requests, and/or parallel processing to efficiently use hardware tasked with executing AI models corresponding to ASR requests. In one embodiment, the compute graphs of ASR tasks are used to batch the ASR requests. The corresponding AI models of each batch can be loaded into hardware, and batches can be processed in parallel. In some embodiments, the ASR requests are split, batched, and processed in parallel.
