  • Patent number: 10966005
Abstract: A telemetry manager receives, from a network server, global data collection information about network components in an optical network device. The global data collection information includes identifiers for network nodes in the network components from which telemetry data are to be collected, and reporting frequency and encoding format for sending collected telemetry data to the network server. The telemetry manager identifies, from the global data collection information, local data collection information specified for a network component, and sends this information to a telemetry agent in the network component. The telemetry manager receives telemetry data generated by a network node of the network component, where the data is provided according to instructions in the local data collection information. The telemetry manager converts the telemetry data from its native format to an encoding format specified by the global data collection information, and sends the encoded telemetry data to the network server.

  • Patent number: 10095611
Abstract: Disclosures herein describe a record and replay regression and unit test automation framework for simulating any hardware on a virtual machine to achieve thorough, affordable and efficient software testing. According to the disclosures herein, the test automation framework includes a recording stage where input and output messages for all the interfaces for a process (e.g., an embedded system or any software system or process) running on the original hardware may be recorded along with metadata in a space-optimized and efficient manner. The testing framework also includes a replay stage using innovative thread synchronization approaches that leverage the metadata to simulate the environment for the recorded embedded process in isolation, which may be done on an inexpensive machine or hardware. Thus, the original custom hardware, which may be expensive and costly to run, is not needed for the replay phase of testing.

  • Publication number: 20070100887
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method are described for displaying multiple attributes relative to objects in a network management program. In one embodiment, multiple attributes from a plurality of different standards are coalesced together and the coalesced attributes are displayed by a user interface. These coalesced attributes may be shown in such a manner so that inconsistencies between attributes of objects from different standards are reduced or obviated.

  • Publication number: 20070047592
Abstract: Method and system for providing data transmission with transparency over the Gigabit Ethernet data stream includes receiving the 10 bit code with a data rate of 1,250 Mbits/second from the encoded 8B/10B data and arbitrarily selecting 9 bit codes using a look-up translation table which can fully represent the 10 bit codes received. The translated 9 bit codes with a data rate of 1,125 Mbits/second is then provided to eight STS-3 inverse multiplexer which inverse multiplexes the received codes into eight STS-3 data streams each with a data rate of 155.52 Mbits/second plus an offset A which are then provided to the modem for transmission to the far end via the optical transmission path.
