    Abstract: A continuously variable transmission has an orbital gear with an eccentric pin. The orbital gear rotates about an internal gear and has a radius one-third of the radius of the internal gear. Arcuate members are provided for transmitting linear motion of a drive rod to an output rod. A continuously variable transmission is provided with an output shaft speed being substantially constant at a given constant input shaft speed.
