Abstract: An ankle support for wearing over a person's lower leg and foot is disclosed. The ankle support includes a yoke made of a semi-rigid, flexible material. The yoke includes a shin portion and a stirrup portion. A removable cap that is adapted for extending over the stirrup portion of the yoke is used with the ankle support. The removable cap includes a groove for engaging the stirrup portion of the yoke. Additionally, a separate shin section cover that is adapted for extending over the shin portion of the yoke and include a groove that will accept a mating portion of the yoke is also provided. The shin section cover can be varied independently of the removable cap.

Abstract: A wrapping system for wrapping an injured joint, the joint having recessed areas and prominent areas. The system includes stackable resilient sections that are joined to one another by scored areas, the scored areas allowing seperation of each of the resilient section into sections adapted fit in the recessed areas. Each of the resilient section should have an adhesive portion for attaching, in a stacked manner, one resilient section to another resilient section, so that the resulting stacked resilient sections nest in the recessed areas of the injured joint. An elastic wrap strap is used to secure and urge the resilient sections over the injured joint.

Abstract: An ankle support and method for providing ankle support over a user's foot. The ankle support includes a stiff stirrup and ankle strap having an elongated, generally straight shin portion and terminating in an elongated, generally straight stirrup portion, the stirrup portion being at an obtuse angle to the shin portion. Additionally, a flexible ankle strap attached to the stirrup and ankle strap and extending from the stirrup portion of the stirrup and ankle strap, away from the shin portion of the stirrup and ankle strap. A flexible shin strap attached the shin portion of the stirrup and ankle strap, so that the flexible ankle strap extends from underneath the wearer's foot, so that it is then wrapped around the ankle area and over the wearer's foot, while the shin strap is wrapped around the wearer's lower leg area behind the shin.
