  • Patent number: 11970279
Abstract: A control system and methods for controlling the position of one or more engine-mounting links of an engine-mounting linkage system are provided. In one aspect, an engine-mounting linkage system includes one or more engine-mounting links that each have an adjustable inclination angle. An inclination angle of a link may be adjusted by an actuator of the control system. One or more controllers of the control system can control the actuator and thus the inclination angle of the link by determining a control command based at least in part on an output received from one or more sensors of the control system. The controllers can then cause the actuator to change the inclination angle of the link based at least in part on the determined control command.

  • Patent number: 11939070
Abstract: Engine-mounting linkage systems may include a plurality of engine mounting links configured to couple an engine frame to an engine support structure of an aircraft. The plurality of engine-mounting links may include a forward link that is connectable to a forward frame portion of the engine frame and the engine support structure, and an aft link that is connectable to an aft frame portion of the engine frame and the engine support structure. The engine mounting linkage system may include an actuator that is connectable to the engine support structure and one of the plurality of engine-mounting links, or to the engine support structure and the engine frame. The actuator, when actuated, changes an inclination angle ? of at least one of the plurality of engine-mounting links.

  • Patent number: 11909082
Abstract: A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack having a plurality of fuel cells that each contain a plurality of fuel electrodes and air electrodes. The system includes a fuel receiving unit connected to the fuel cell stack, which receives a hydrocarbon fuel from a fuel supply. The system includes a fuel exhaust processing unit fluidly coupled to the fuel cell stack by a slip stream, where the fuel exhaust processing unit processes fuel exhaust from the fuel cell stack, and the slip stream is fluidly connected to an exhaust stream flowing from the fuel cell stack. The fuel processing unit removes a first portion of carbon dioxide (CO2) from fuel exhaust within the slip stream, outputs the first portion of CO2 in a first stream, and outputs a second portion of CO2 remaining from the fuel exhaust in the slip stream into a second stream, which includes hydrogen.

  • Publication number: 20230186209
Abstract: Example embodiments described in this disclosure are generally directed to systems and methods for defining and operating a fleet of vehicles. In a first example method, a processor may evaluate a personal attribute of an individual such as, for example, an age of the individual (65+, under 65, infant, etc.) and/or a physical disability (requiring a wheelchair, for example). The processor selects a shared mobility service model that is defined, at least in part, on the basis of the personal attribute of the individual, and then applies the shared mobility service model to identify a first vehicle (having a wheelchair ramp, an infant seat, etc.). The identified vehicle is then assigned to provide service to the individual. In a second example method, a processor may evaluate a demography of a service area (various age groups, various physical disabilities, etc.) and generate a shared mobility service model based on the demography.

  • Publication number: 20190320869
Abstract: A sponge cleaning device has a lid for enclosing and hiding a sponge when not in use. The sponge cleaning device has a bottom shelf that can be raised and lowered into a cleaning solution disposed in a base of the device. When the lid is closed, the bottom shelf lowers toward the base, causing a sponge resting on the bottom shelf to be lowered into the cleaning solution. When the lid is opened, the bottom shelf raised out of the cleaning solution and toward a top shelf. The top shelf can be movably disposed to compress the sponge when the sponge is on the bottom shelf and the lid is opened, thus squeezing out cleaning solution from the sponge. The top shelf can be movably disposed to permit the user to access the sponge and remove it from the bottom shelf for use.

  • Publication number: 20180008473
Abstract: A bandage can be made oversized in width and length with a thick absorbent pad to provide pressure to the wound. The bandage provides a one-step procedure for wounds that need pressure and protection. The individually wrapped bandage is taken from a sterile wrapper to the wound so there is no worry of infection. Pull tabs make the bandage application a sterile procedure. Another bandage has a hard or semi hard cover with optional vent holes incorporated for air circulation. The bandage protects a wound or stitches or any delicate skin problem from being bumped or damaged from ordinary daily labors. The cover can have no pad in it or it can have a pad that can have nothing in it or can have anti-bacterial ointment, or the like, to help fight infection.

  • Publication number: 20180001443
Abstract: A cigar clipper sharpener includes a guide plate having a plurality of slots cut therein as well as a central sharpener support opening. A slender, angled sharpening tool can fit into the sharpener support opening, which may, itself, have a guiding surface to guide the sharpening tool at the proper angle for sharpening the blade of a cigar clipper. The plurality of slots allow cigar clipper supports to adjust to hold various sizes of cigar clippers on the guide plate. The retention members slide in the slots and can be positioned to hold both the body and the blade handles of the cigar clipper to the guide plate. The sharpener can be used on guillotine style, scissor style, callibri style and hole punch types of cigar clippers. The sharpener may be used on replaceable blades for replaceable blade cigar clippers.

  • Publication number: 20170198523
Abstract: Mitts, boots or pads are formed from a deformable material, such as foam and/or memory foam and/or gel filled for more protection of walls. When the mitts are disposed on the ends of the rails of the ladder, and the ladder is placed against a wall, the mitts help prevent damage to the wall or building by the ladder. The mitts can help prevent damage to any building surface, such as acrylic, stucco, siding, aluminum window and fascia capping, gutters, soft wood, sheetrock, painted or stained surfaces, and the like. The mitts can include an outer covering with enhanced friction properties that can help grip the structure upon which the ladder is placed. A ladder protection pad may also be used on any type of wall, where the larger the pad the more protection due to the fact that ladder and the user's weight are displaced over a larger area.

  • Publication number: 20150336545
Abstract: A multi-purpose tool can perform a first task, such as washing a car with a car wash brush, scraping ice from a car with an ice scraper, or removing snow from a car with a snow remover, and a second task of delivering a fluid, such as car wash or de-icer, to a location adjacent to the tool performing the first task. For example, the multi-purpose tool can include interchangeable heads, one head having a car wash brush, and one head having an ice scraper. A liquid delivery tool can deliver a liquid next to the interchangeable head. This liquid can be car wash, car wax, de-icer, or the like. The multi-purpose tool can eliminate the need to keep a separate fluid delivery bottle and a wand tool.
