Abstract: Medical port protection adapters are described herein. In one aspect, a contamination guard can include a proximal collar adapted and configured to engage with a medical port; an elastomeric medial region coupled to the proximal collar; and a distal collar coupled to the proximal collar by the elastomeric medial region; where the elastomeric medial region is adapted and configured to: bias the distal collar to extend at least partially over a distal end of the port when in an unloaded position; and allow the distal collar to resiliently travel proximally when loaded to permit engagement with the distal end of the medical port.

Abstract: Systems and methods for IMS telephony enabled information exchange are disclosed. In some implementations, a transfer request to transfer a file from a first user to a second user is received at a IMS gateway and during an ongoing telephone call established between a first device associated with the first user and a second device associated with the second user. The second user on the ongoing telephone call is identified at the IMS gateway. Upon identifying the second user and responsive to the transfer request, the file is transferred from the first user to the second user.

Abstract: A system for and method of paper note authentication and tracking through NFC is presented. The system and method includes utilizing an authenticating device to receive paper note data using an NFC reader, transmit the paper note data to an authenticating party, receive an authentication determination and/or additional paper note data, and authenticate the paper note where the authentication determination indicates accordingly. The system and method may further include updating the paper note data upon authentication to prevent duplicate authentication attempts.

Abstract: A method for developing a product is provided, wherein the method includes developing a three-dimensional product design, translating the three-dimensional product design into a two-dimensional product design, wherein the two-dimensional product design includes at least one product structure having at least two structure sections, obtaining a rigidly malleable material to create the at least one product structure, wherein the rigidly malleable material is obtained based on the two-dimensional product design, generating the at least one product structure by shaping the rigidly malleable material based on the two-dimensional product design such that the at least one product structure includes the at least two structure sections separated by at least one forming groove and at least one forming tab, the at least one forming tab having a forming tab height and a forming tab width and hand forming the product structure based on the at least one forming groove.

Abstract: A prepress application may reduce the amount of time required to view and correct the alignment of page content within a digital image of an electronic document, such as a book, by allowing the operator to visualize a book in three dimensions (3-D), thereby enabling more pages to be viewed at one time. The application may include modules for rendering a 3-D image, moving within a virtual 3-D environment, and editing the document.

Abstract: A method and computerized system for producing a digital photo album comprise a graphic user interface having at least one display and tactile device. An image inbox adds, deletes, orders, crops, sizes, and/or rotates images to be included in a digital photo album based on drag-and-drop, or other user input obtained through the display and tactile device. The images are displayed in the image inbox as thumbnails on the display. An auto-population engine automatically positions the images on electronic pages of the digital photo album. The electronic pages are also displayed on the display. An editing engine is used to reposition, further rotate, and/or resize the images, after the images are positioned on the electronic pages by the auto-population engine, based on additional drag-and-drop or other user input obtained through the display and tactile device.

Abstract: Compositions of biomolecules such as nucleic acids that form molten salts are provided. These compositions molten compositions that have useful electrical properties. Such compositions include a salt of (i) an organic polymer ion such as a polynucleic acid anion, and (ii) a polyether or polysiloxane couterion. Methods of making and using such compositions, along with electrical devices such as memory devices, are also provided.

Abstract: An improved version of the game Pai Gow Poker allows a player to bet against the house and/or to bet against the other players. In addition to the conventional betting spot for placing a bet against the banker, an additional betting spot is located in front of each of the players which allows the player to bet against the house. This can be done whether or not the house is the banker. Thus, even if a fellow player has been designated as the banker, each other player can still choose to play against only the house. Each player can, of course, play against his or her fellow player/banker but is not required to do so. Each player can play against the house, against his or her fellow player/banker, against neither or against both.

Abstract: A portable espresso maker comprising a housing and a water chamber within the housing and having an o-ring mounted on the top edge. There is a heating element adjacent the bottom of the water chamber. There is a bottom tray for holding the housing and a cup positioned on the bottom tray adjacent the housing. A filter assembly is positioned within the water chamber and comprises a filter tube connected to a reservoir. A mesh screen extends over the bottom of the reservoir. A cover is positioned over the housing and the water chamber. The cover has an o-ring that engages the o-ring mounted to the water chamber to create an air-tight seal between the water chamber and the cover. The cover has a concave recess and a screen extending over the concave recess. There are a plurality of ridges positioned within the recess and extending to the screen. An exit spout extends from the recess out of the cover and toward the cup.
