  • Publication number: 20260062318
Abstract: A water quality monitoring system for a swimming pool or spa includes a saltwater chlorinator and a water sensing device. The water sensing device may measure water hardness of the water of the swimming pool or spa. The saltwater chlorinator may be automatically controlled based on the water hardness measurement from the water sensing device.

  • Publication number: 20260061424
Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring water of a swimming pool or spa include containers or cartridges with one or more liquid reagents for automatic chemistry analysis of recreational water. The cartridges provide a store or supply of one or more reagents and may be quickly and easily replaced and replenished by a user. The cartridges may be self-sealing when the cartridge is not engaged with the monitoring device.

  • Publication number: 20250361163
Abstract: A water quality monitoring system for a swimming pool or spa is provided inline with other systems of the swimming pool or spa. The water quality monitoring system may include a double plunger, a testing chamber with a fixed volume, and a multiport rotary valve. A method of monitoring water quality of water of a swimming pool or spa may include drawing water into the testing chamber using the double plunger, rotating the multiport rotary valve to first position enabling fluid communication with a first reagent, drawing the first reagent into the testing chamber using the double plunger, mixing the first reagent and the water in the testing chamber using the double plunger, and measuring a water parameter of the mixed water and the first reagent in the testing chamber using a photometer.

  • Publication number: 20250361738
Abstract: A water quality monitoring system for a swimming pool or spa includes a first water sensing device and a second water sensing device. The first water sensing device may measure one or more water parameters via a probe reading, and the second water sensing device may measure one or more water parameters via a reagent reading.

  • Publication number: 20240286933
Abstract: An advanced oxidation process system and associated method includes a device with a housing having a wall with a first side exposed to water of the swimming pool or spa and a second side opposite from the first side. The device additionally includes an ultraviolet lamp within the housing. In some embodiments, an electrical ballast for an ultraviolet generator may be attached to the second side of the wall and in thermal contact with the wall. In certain embodiments, an end cap may be attachable to and removable from the housing, and the ultraviolet lamp may be supported by the end cap and positionable within the water chamber.

  • Patent number: 11802057
Abstract: A sensor system for swimming pools and spas is detailed herein. The sensor system can include one or more sensors positioned in a sensor housing located within a cavity of a pipe and in-line with an inlet and an outlet of the pipe. The sensor housing can divert a portion of water flowing through the cavity to an interior of the sensor housing and to an area around the sensors and maintain at least some of the diverted water in the area around the sensors even if the water is not flowing through or is drained from the pipe.
