  • Publication number: 20090031638
Abstract: A top portion (12) of the gutter section (10) is formed with a pair of longitudinally extending, relatively spaced apart ridges (20) and with a plurality of openings (22) disposed on, in front of, in between and behind the ridges (20) for draining rainwater into the gutter (10). A front wall (13) extends downwardly from the top portion (12) and a ledge (14) extends generally horizontally form a lower portion 13B of the front wall (13). The distance D between an upper edge (17) of the front wall (13) and the horizontal ledge (14) is relatively short to improve the versatility and appearance of the cover section 10. The aluminum alloy from which the cover section (10) is formed is relatively thin and the openings (22) in the on the cover section top portion (12) are large enough to facilitate drainage, yet small enough to keep debris from accumulating on the cover section (10).

  • Publication number: 20080029654
Abstract: A front portion 12 of the gutter bracket may be formed with a rearwardly opening, upwardly and rearwardly curved or hooked end 16, which is sized and shaped to engage a downwardly and inwardly turned front lip 18 of a gutter 20. The front portion 12 may also be formed with a pair of relatively spaced apart side walls 22, 24 and with a generally planar web or base 26 extending between said side walls 22, 24. The web or base 26 may be formed with a plurality of latch-receiving openings 28. The rear portion 14 of the present bracket 10 may also be formed with a pair of relatively spaced apart side walls 30, 32 and with a generally planar web or base 34 extending between the side walls 30, 32. The base 34 may be formed with a plurality of downwardly projecting pins or latches 36.

  • Patent number: 5640809
Abstract: A rain gutter shield for preventing leaves, other debris and animals from entering a rain gutter of the type attached to a structure adjacent to and directly beneath an edge of a roof of the structure. The rain gutter shield comprises a sheet of material havimg a length and width and being transversely formed to define a substantially planar primary surface securable to the roof such that a portion of the primary surface lies atop the roof. The primary surface is followed by a substantially arcuate surface extending downwardly therefrom and terminating in a trough having a plurality of perforations along its length and being located beneath the substantially arcuate surface of the shield and directed toward the interior of the gutter. The portion of the sheet beyond the trough is formed so as to be securable to the front of the gutter and to provide an upwardly extending deflector positioned beneath the substantially arcuate surface.
