Patent number: 11221188Abstract: A suppressor for a firearm includes a casing having a front end and defining a longitudinal axis. A first plurality of baffles are inside the casing, and a front cap is downstream from the first plurality of baffles at the front end of the casing. A first retainer is connected to the casing and disposed between the first plurality of baffles and the front cap. The first retainer has an upstream surface and a downstream surface, and the first plurality of baffles, the front cap, and the first retainer define a fluid pathway along the longitudinal axis. A contoured wall extends axially upstream from the upstream surface of the first retainer and defines a plurality of damping wells in the upstream surface of the first retainer radially disposed from the fluid pathway and circumferentially separated by the plurality of apertures. The downstream surface of the first retainer is symmetrical with the upstream surface.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2018Date of Patent: January 11, 2022Assignee: Microtech Knives, Inc.Inventor: Anthony Marfione

Patent number: 10281228Abstract: A suppressor for a firearm includes a casing having rear and front ends. Baffles are inside the casing between the rear and front ends. A cylindrical support has an upstream end, a downstream end, and a circumferential rib. The upstream end is connected to the rear end of the casing. The downstream end is engaged with at least one of the baffles. The circumferential rib surrounds the cylindrical support between the upstream and downstream ends and extends radially from the cylindrical support to the casing. Upstream and downstream annular chambers defined at least in part by the casing, the cylindrical support, and the circumferential rib circumferentially surround the cylindrical support. A plurality of apertures through the cylindrical support provide fluid communication through the cylindrical support to the upstream and downstream annular chambers.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2018Date of Patent: May 7, 2019Assignee: Microtech Knives, Inc.Inventor: Anthony Marfione

Patent number: 10267586Abstract: A suppressor for a firearm includes a casing that defines an axis, and a baffle is in the casing. The baffle has upstream and downstream surfaces and a frustoconical surface between the upstream and downstream surfaces. The baffle defines a fluid pathway through the upstream, downstream, and frustoconical surfaces along the axis. An annular chamber is located between the frustoconical surface and the casing. A first contoured wall extends upstream a first height from the upstream surface, and the first contoured wall defines a perimeter around a first damping well in the upstream surface. A second contoured wall extends upstream a second height from the upstream surface, and the second contoured wall defines a perimeter around a second damping well in the upstream surface. The first height of the first contoured wall is larger than the second height of the second contoured wall.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2018Date of Patent: April 23, 2019Assignee: Microtech KnivesInventor: Anthony Marfione

Publication number: 20190070738Abstract: A switchblade includes a casing that defines a cavity and a blade having a cutting edge. The blade has a retracted position in which the cutting edge is inside the cavity and a deployed position in which the cutting edge is outside of the cavity. A spring is operably connected to the blade to bias the blade to the deployed position. An actuator extends through at least a portion of the casing and has a hold position that engages with the blade to prevent movement of the blade with respect to the casing and a release position that permits movement of the blade with respect to the casing. A safety is operably connected to the actuator and has a lock position that prevents operation of the actuator and an unlock position that permits operation of the actuator.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2017Publication date: March 7, 2019Inventor: ANTHONY MARFIONE

Publication number: 20100287806Abstract: A magazine release assembly for use with a pistol is disclosed. The magazine release assembly has a pin configured to be positioned through an end of a pistol trigger guard. There is a magazine release arm pivotally mounted to the pin. A magazine catch is also pivotally mounted to the pin. The magazine catch is configured to be positioned between a wall of the pistol handle and a wall of the magazine inserted into the pistol handle cavity in use. The magazine catch has a ledge which engages a notch on the magazine wall when the release arm is pivoted to an engaged position and which pivots away from the notch when the release arm is disengaged. In an embodiment, there are two magazine release arms, making the magazine release assembly ambidextrous.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 14, 2010Publication date: November 18, 2010Applicant: Microtech Small Arms ResearchInventors: Anthony Marfione, David J. Patent number: 6877179Abstract: A handle to grip a broadhead arrow head enabling the handle and arrow head combination to form a knife suitable for hunting purposes. The handle includes a release button, a wrench, and a first and a second cavity. The first cavity accepts a shaft on the rear of the broadhead to aid in connecting the broadhead and handle. The release button activates a grip mechanism which locks the broadhead in the handle, while the wrench serves to aid in loosening or tightening the broadhead to the arrow shaft. The second cavity houses a sharpening guide which attaches to the handle and guides a sharpening rod at the correct angle to sharpen the broadhead.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2003Date of Patent: April 12, 2005Inventor: Anthony Marfione
