  • Publication number: 20100163620
Abstract: An apparatus comprising an input device and a storage element, the input device being operable to identify one or more items for purchase, the apparatus being operable to store one or more target identifiers, the or each target identifier corresponding to a target item and, when at least one of the one or more items matches one or more of the stored identifiers, generate an output accordingly.

  • Patent number: 4219882
Abstract: A magnetic domain device has a pair of orthogonally disposed coils one inside the other with the device chip disposed in the center of both of the coils, and a flexible substrate to which the device chip is directly or indirectly attached, the flexible substrate being suitably shaped and folded so that it extends between the coils and enables external electrical connection to be made to the device chip.

  • Patent number: 3979736
Abstract: A circular magnetic domain device which includes a layer of a polycrystalline or amorphous uniaxial magnetic material having a single unique easy magnetisation direction substantially normal to a major surface thereof and crystallites of a maximum diameter that is at least one order of magnitude less than the width of the wall of circular magnetic domains that are to be generated, and caused to propagate in the layer. The crystallites of this diameter ensure a high lateral magnetic domain mobility within the layer. This layer can be formed with a relatively large surface area by any known process for example vapor phase deposition on a surface of the substrate.
