  • Patent number: 8109420
Abstract: A holder for a flashlight with a sheath that is variably positionable during use. A variably positionable sheath formed with a cavity and having an axial post. At least one u-shaped flexible removable grasping member is formed in the cavity. The u-shaped member has bent arms that apply pressure to the flashlight bell when it is inserted into the cavity. A disk with a plurality of pegs is rotatably mounted on the sheath, with o-rings that wrap both around pegs on the disk and around the pegs on the sheath or disk base, allowing the sheath to be rotated by the user and causing it to return automatically to its original position. A clip is engaged for securing the sheath to the user. A method for manufacturing a holder for a flashlight with a sheath that is variably positionable during use.

  • Publication number: 20100162775
Abstract: Disposable double loop handcuffs formed from two flexible straps each strap having a first end and a second end, each strap having a terminal hinge member at the first end and a handle at the second end, the first end having an opening that is less distally-positioned and more medially-positioned than the terminal hinge member, the second end inserted through the opening in the first end to form the strap into a loop. The opening contains a unidirectional locking head comprising a ratchet with teeth and pawl, the pawl extending monolithically from the strap on the distal side of the opening, the teeth located on the second end of the strap medial to the handle. The tip of the first end of the first strap has two hinge knuckles for receiving a third hinge knuckle between them. The tip of the first end of the second strap has at least a third hinge knuckle for inserting between the two hinge knuckles of the first strap.

  • Patent number: 7694130
Abstract: A system and method to authenticate a user utilizing a time-varying auxiliary code. The code may be appended to a fixed password, but that is not required. The code is generated by a central electronic authentication system. The user retrieves it manually using a fungible communications device such as a telephone or a computer connected to the Internet. The user must learn the code because he inputs it manually, thereby authenticating himself. The present invention performs the same function as inventions with tokens, that is, it provides an extension to the PIN or password, but it eliminates the token and the synchronization required with such a token.

  • Publication number: 20080040355
Abstract: A mechanism for routing content, e.g., an electronic document, an invention disclosure, etc., to a person or group of persons, e.g., a reviewer/review team, for review and evaluation of the electronic document. This mechanism involves receiving the content and analyzing the content to generate identifiers of subject matter of the content. Subject matter categories are then determined to be associated with the content based on the analysis. The mechanism then retrieves profiles for people that are authorized to review and evaluate content. These profiles include identifiers of categories of knowledge that indicate areas of knowledge held by an associated person. A person is then selected based on the subject matter categories and categories of knowledge. The content may then be routed to a client computing device associated with the selected person or group or persons.
