Abstract: Cover pads for use on upright walls, wherein the pad provides an improved internal support which is of simplified construction, for example the center support and the surrounding frame being made of a one-piece monolithic support structure which permits a flexible covering or fabric to be attached to the center support and the exterior side surfaces of the edge frame while the fabric and support structure are in a flat and planar condition, following which the edge frame is folded and secured into position around the center support. The internal support structure for the pad, when in a flat condition, has voids at the corners so that the fabric can be easily tucked into the corners prior to the edge frame being folded into its closing or frame-defining position.

Abstract: An instruction card assembly which includes a spacer plate and a card including printed or pictorial instructional information thereon. The spacer plate is sandwiched between the underside of a worksurface and an elongate track utilized for slidably mounting an arm assembly of a keyboard pad arrangement such that a sidewardly opening recess is defined. The card is disposed in this recess and is slidably movable between a retracted storage position wherein the card is positioned substantially beneath the worksurface and an extended use position for displaying operational instructions for reference by a user.

Abstract: A fastening arrangement is provided for attaching components such as headliners, overhead consoles, or the like to vehicles. The arrangement includes a shaped slot in a first member which has a retaining end, a releasing end, and a neck with inclined protrusions therebetween, and a fastener attached to a second member and having an engaging leg portion constructed to be securely inserted directly and normally into the retaining end of the slot. Once installed, the fastener is securely held in the slot, but is releasable by forcing the engaging leg portion of the fastener past the inclined protrusion into the releasing end of the slot, whereat the component can be removed for servicing or repair. Also, a headliner is provided including a central portion with a perimeter, and a folded edge portion connected to the perimeter that presents a finished side along the perimeter so that the headliner can be installed into the vehicle roof without subsequent parts required to cover the perimeter.

Abstract: A method for the manufacture of a laminated element comprising a thermoformed cellular core material and one or more reinforcing and/or decorative web layers which comprises applying an adhesive coating to said web, placing the thermoformable cellular core material on said coated web to form an intermediate laminated element, and placing the intermediate laminated product without substantial preheating in a heated mould to deform the thermoformable cellular core material to a desired final shape and to cure the adhesive.
