  • Patent number: 8698030
Abstract: An input device includes: a base member including a hollow support body; and an operation body supported so as to at least freely rotate relative to the hollow support body. The operation body includes an operation knob formed in a cylindrical shape with a bottom and having a top surface portion and a plate-shaped capacitance type touch pad provided on a back side of the top surface portion for detecting approach or contact of a finger with respect to the top surface portion. A support body supporting the capacitance type touch pad is mounted on the base member and supports the capacitance type touch pad through an elastic body which elastically urges the capacitance type touch pad against the top surface portion of the operation knob.

  • Patent number: 7989722
Abstract: Disclosed is an illuminated switch device capable of effectively preventing light leakage between different light sources, thereby obtaining a good lighting quality, while reducing the overall size of the switch device. The illuminated switch device includes: a casing that has an open upper end and a partition wall provided therein and is formed on a bottom plate member having light sources and a push switch mounted thereon; and an operating body that has a light-shielding wall provided on the rear surface of an upper plate, is arranged so as to close the open end, and can be pressed. First and second illuminated regions to which light components are emitted from first and second light sources are provided on the upper plate. A protruding portion is formed at a leading end portion of a light-shielding wall, and a concave groove is provided at a leading end portion of a partition wall. The leading end portions are opposite to each other such that they can approach or separate from each other.

  • Publication number: 20090321236
Abstract: Provided is a push switch including: a tubular case; a slider which is supported by the tubular case to reciprocate and advance during a pushing operation; and biasing means for biasing the slider to retreat, wherein the slider upon retreating is automatically returned to a non-operation position by allowing a contact inclined surface provided at a contact portion of the slider to come in contact with a restriction inclined surface provided at a restriction portion of the tubular case, the slider is a mold made of a resin material having a higher thermal contraction coefficient and a lower melting temperature than those of the resin material of the tubular case, the shape of the contact portion is similar to and slightly smaller than the shape of the restriction portion in order that they be complementary to each other, and the tubular case is provided with a pair of restriction inclined surfaces.
