The component registration system has a component located on the machine, a data system remote from the machine, and a controller in communication with the component and the data system. The controller is configured to automatically collect information from the component upon installation of the component onto the machine and automatically send the information to the data system to initiate a registration process.

Abstract: A work machine communication system for providing cellular network communications on a work machine includes a work machine controller configured to control at least one operation of a work machine. The system may also include a gateway device including a Web server, the Web server being configured to provide bidirectional transfer of information to and from the work machine controller. The system may further include a cellular communication device configured to provide bidirectional transfer of the information between the gateway device and a cellular network.

The data system has a first communication device associated with a first work machine, and a second communication device associated with a second work machine. The data system also has an offboard system in communication with the first and second communication devices. The offboard system is configured to request a first data transmission from the first work machine in response to a second data transmission being received from the second work machine.
