  • Publication number: 20180100645
Abstract: A lamp comprising a light source comprising at least one solid state emitter. The lamp comprises a heat sink body in thermal communication with said light source. At least one air flow nozzle is present in the lamp to direct air flow across at least a portion of the heat sink body. The lamp further comprises an active cooling device, in which the active cooling device is in fluid communication with the at least one air flow nozzle and is configured to provide a flow of air to the at least one air flow nozzle. The lamp further comprises driver electronics configured to provide power to each of the light source and the active cooling device, wherein the driver electronics are remote from the active cooling device.

  • Publication number: 20150302609
Abstract: A lighting apparatus includes a vision system configured to receive light from a scene and produce a digital image; a controller coupled to the vision system and configured to receive the digital image and produce a plurality of color signals; a driver coupled to the controller and configured to receive the plurality of color signals and produce a plurality of drive signals; and a lamp assembly coupled to the driver and configured to receive the plurality of drive signals and produce light having a color spectrum corresponding to the plurality of drive signals. The controller is configured to derive color information from the digital image and adjust the color signals based at least in part on the derived color information.

  • Patent number: 8864339
Abstract: A lighting device that uses one or more LEDs, an optical element (e.g., diffuser), and a heat sink to provide thermal management is provided. The overall shape of the lighting device, particularly the heat sink, can be configured to imitate the appearance of a traditional incandescent candelabra lamp. One or more features are also provided to assist with the conduction of heat away from the LED(s) and to the heat sink. The lighting device can provide improved lumen output and light distribution.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 6, 2012
Date of Patent: October 21, 2014
    Assignee: GE Lighting Solutions, LLC
