Patent number: 9968945Abstract: This invention relates to an integrated process for recovering value metals from sulphide ore which includes the steps of bulk sorting 16 and screening 24/28 crushed ore. The sorted/screened coarse ore stream is ground and classified 20 to provide a coarse fraction 34 suitable for coarse flotation and a first fine fraction 38 suitable for flotation. The coarse fraction suitable for coarse flotation is subjected to coarse flotation 36 thereby to obtain a gangue 42 and an intermediate concentrate 46. The intermediate concentrate is subjected to grinding 48 to provide a second fine fraction suitable for conventional flotation. The first fine fraction and the second fine fraction are subjected to conventional flotation 40 to provide a concentrate and tailings.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2017Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: ANGLO AMERICAN SERVICES (UK) LTD.Inventors: Anthony Owen Filmer, Daniel John Alexander

Publication number: 20170326559Abstract: THIS invention relates to a process for recovering value metals from ore (50) configured such as to substantively reduce or eliminate the need for a tailings storage facility. This object is achieved through an integrated processing system designed to enhance the ratio of sand residue from coarse flotation (62) to the amount of tailings arising from fine flotation (72), and then blending a proportion of coarse and fine flotation gangue materials into a free draining stack (82).Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2016Publication date: November 16, 2017Inventors: Anthony Owen FILMER, Daniel John ALEXANDER

Patent number: 9491077Abstract: A tool for monitoring the use of devices in an interconnected network. Desired network information, such as the use of browsers on the networked devices, the use of other applications hosted on the networked devices, and the speed and volume of data traffic to and within the network, may be collected by one or more network management tools operating within the network, and then provided to an outside reporting server. In response, the reporting server then organizes and reports the collected information to one or more authorized parties associated with the network. The reporting server may send the collected network information directly to the authorized parties via electronic mail, or provide access to the collected network information by posting it on a secured Web site.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2007Date of Patent: November 8, 2016Assignee: CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Tim Ahlers, Steve Mooney, John-Anthony Owens, Greg Vandenberg, Myk O'Leary, Aaron Averbuch, Jeremy Wilson, Lauren Younger

Publication number: 20160310956Abstract: This invention relates to a process for recovering valuable metals from ore with significantly reduced water consumption through the discrete treatment and storage of coarse tailings. Ore is ground to produce a coarse particulate ore. The coarse particulate ore is treated in a coarse flotation stage to produce a low grade concentrate fraction and a coarse tailings fraction. The low grade concentrate fraction is treated to produce fine tailings and a saleable concentrate. The coarse tailings are treated separately from the fine tailings and water is recovered from the coarse tailings by hydraulically stacking; filtering or screening, whereafter the coarse tailings are dry stacked, without being recombined with the fine tailings.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 29, 2016Publication date: October 27, 2016Inventors: Anthony Owen FILMER, Daniel John ALEXANDER

Patent number: 8649297Abstract: A method in one example implementation includes discovering a networking device within a wireless connectivity range from a first computing device. The networking device may be configured for wireless connectivity by sending new network configuration settings to the networking device to be stored in a memory element. The method also includes configuring the first computing device to initiate a wireless connection to the networking device, such that the wireless connection is created without requiring the user to provide any configuration settings associated with the wireless connection. In more specific embodiments, if it is determined that the networking device is unconfigured, then the new network configuration settings are automatically generated. In other more specific embodiments, the new network configuration settings include a new network identifier and a new network password.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2010Date of Patent: February 11, 2014Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Timothy F. Publication number: 20120317254Abstract: A smart network may include a smart network host device as well as one or more client devices configured to connect to the smart network. Each of the client devices may implement one or more services that the client device exposes to other devices connected to the smart network. When a client device connects to the smart network, the client device may transmit a message to the smart network host device requesting the client device and zero or more services to be registered on the smart network. Once the client device and services are registered, other devices on the smart network may identify and utilize the resources or functions provided by the client device by querying the smart network host device for information related to the resources on the smart network. The smart network host device also notifies services about relevant service events on the smart network.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2011Publication date: December 13, 2012Inventors: Mark CHEKHANOVSKIY, Aaron Hyman AVERBUCH, Siddhartha DATTAGUPTA, Craig A. Patent number: 7802191Abstract: An interface for enabling a user to quickly access contact information automatically displays a list of expected contacts that are most likely to be selected by the user when attention is directed to an appropriate object requiring contact information. When a contact is selected, the corresponding and appropriate contact information is automatically entered. If a user does not select a listed contact, but instead begins manually typing in the contact information then the interface performs a search and displays a list of unexpected contacts having contact information matching the typed input from the user. Various criteria can be used to identify which contacts will be presented to the user and how they will be presented.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2008Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Fabio Pettinati, John-Anthony Owens, Jonathan D. Patent number: 7549125Abstract: A user is able to informatively control how contact information is provided to one or more applications through the use of a persona interface object, corresponding personas and contact information, and an information picker interface. The persona interface identifies available personas, each persona having different contact information. The user can select a persona to use in response to an applications request for information. The personas can be modified and developed through the information picker interface, which can also be used to inform the user about what information is being requested and how it will be used.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2003Date of Patent: June 16, 2009Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Melissa W.
