  • Patent number: 11185435
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to create a urine bag that can be easily folded in order to occupy less space prior to use and that can be easily manipulated by a patient, in particular a paraplegic patient. This is achieved using a urine collection bag (1) formed by two sheets of plastic material that are stacked and welded along the periphery (2) thereof. The collection bag (1) comprises a collection compartment (3), said inlet being in communication with the intake port (4) and delimiting the upper portion of the collection compartment (3). The intake port (4) is provided with a vertical extension (8) closed along their periphery (22) thereof and comprising a urinary catheter (9). The bag (1) of the invention is characterised in that the intake port (4) and the inlet (6) are offset vertically, and in that the vertical height (ho) of the bag (1) corresponds to a multiple of the height (hp) of the extension (8).

  • Publication number: 20130028811
Abstract: The application relates to taking a sample of liquid contained in a flexible closed container. The problem to be resolved relates to piercing the wall of the container with a non-cutting piece, whilst obtaining a precise and clean opening for accessing the liquid and preventing any unintended flow or spill of liquid. A device for taking a sample of liquid contained in a flexible bag comprises a first section having a base surface and a film perforating element protruding from the base surface. The device also includes a second section having a base surface surrounding a cavity, adapted for receiving the film perforating element of the first section. The first section has an adhesive surface surrounding the film perforating element, and the second section has an adhesive surface surrounding the cavity. Furthermore, one of the two sections has an opening in the base surface, inside of the adhesive surface.

  • Publication number: 20130023847
Abstract: When taking a sample of liquid contained in a flexible closed container, a problem to be resolved relates to piercing the wall of the container with a non-cutting piece, whilst obtaining a precise and clean opening for accessing the liquid and preventing any unintended flow or spill of liquid. This problem is resolved by a flexible bag for liquid, particularly a urine or blood bag containing a device for taking a sample of liquid from said flexible bag. The sampling device has a circular opening, arranged so that this opening is accessible from a first side of the device. The device also has a support structure on its other side, said support structure with at least one support element, whose function is to distribute forces, and which is positioned at a distance from the plane of said opening.
