    Abstract: Apparatus having utility in the manual opening of shellfish characterized by oppositely disposed pairs of gripping portions which receive both hands of a user thus precluding the placing of digits in registration with a movable blade disposed intermediate the pairs of gripping portions. The blade is mounted on a movable frame between two gripping portions and the apparatus further includes a spring biased blade guide movable on the frame.
