Publication number: 20220198518Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for displaying targeted advertisements on a vehicle. In an example method in accordance with the disclosure, a camera that is mounted on the vehicle captures an image of an individual who may have a view of an exterior portion of the vehicle (such as a side portion, a front-facing portion, or a rear-facing portion). The image is evaluated by a controller based on various classification criteria such as, for example, an ethnicity, an age bracket, and/or a gender of the individual. The controller may further evaluate an audio clip of the individual captured by a microphone mounted on the vehicle. A targeted advertisement that specifically targets the individual is selected based on the evaluation of the image and/or the audio clip. The targeted advertisement is displayed on the exterior portion of the vehicle that is viewable by the individual.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2020Publication date: June 23, 2022Applicant: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Anthony Prozzi, Jacky Yang, Catherine Charette, Jack Somers, John Galin
