  • Patent number: 7037165
Abstract: A container for holding component parts of a construction toy. The container preferably is a suitcase or briefcase configuration, with a carrying handle at the top. An access cover, comprising a large portion of the front wall of the container and a portion of the bottom wall, is hinged on the bottom wall. When the access cover is open, both the cover and the container lie flat on a floor or other support surface, forming an extra large access opening and allowing easy access to parts within the container. The access cover, when open, forms a tray or receptacle, and can function somewhat like a dust pan, facilitating cleanup after use by enabling loose parts to be scooped onto the open cover and then discharged into the container by upward pivoting movement of the cover.

  • Patent number: 5803790
Abstract: A toy vehicle includes a central vertical longitudinal plane at least one road-contacting front wheel coupled to the chassis to rotate about an axis fixed perpendicularly to the central plane and at least a pair of road-contacting rear wheels coupled to the chassis for rotation about a common rear rotational axis perpendicular to the central plane. Separate rear wheels of the pair are located on either lateral side of the chassis in the central plane. One or more motors are provided and coupled with the rear wheels to selectively drive the rear wheels at least simultaneously in either linear direction, forward or rearward, or simultaneously in opposite linear directions.

  • Patent number: 5397260
Abstract: A toy vehicle crash center play set includes a base mounting three separate upright walls. Two of the walls are interchangeable at the center and lateral side positions along one edge of the base. One interchangeable wall includes a mechanical impact meter with a horizontally movable target and a linkage coupled impact indicator. The second interchangeable wall includes four pivotally mounted wall panels having irregular perimeters which interfit with one another and rotate apart as a "break away" wall. A separate launcher including a base, a hand-operated actuator coupled to the base and a carrier movably driven along the base by the actuator, is provided and releasably engages with depressions provided at various positions in the base. Additional elements which are provided for mounting to the base and/or walls include different toy vehicle components, signposts, mailbox and parking meter and a pair of upright supports.

  • Patent number: 5334073
Abstract: A toy figure has a torso with a plurality of removable, spring-biased appendages. Each appendage inserted into the torso with connectors. Each of the connectors includes a groove for receiving a movable detent to attach the appendages to the torso. The front of the toy figure contains two buttons which are actuated upon application of a force. When an upper button is actuated, three spring detents move out of engagement with the connector grooves causing both arms and the head appendages to be simultaneously released and biased outwardly from the torso. When a lower button is actuated, two spring detents move out of engagement with connector grooves, causing both leg appendages to be simultaneously released and biased outwardly from the torso.

  • Patent number: 5259808
Abstract: A flip-over toy vehicle including a body and a pivot mechanism having a first end and a second end. The first end of the pivot mechanism is pivotally mounted to the body. The pivot mechanism is movable between a drive position wherein the second end of the pivot mechanism is positioned proximate the body and a pivoted position wherein the second end of the pivot mechanism is spaced from the body. A first wheel is rotatably mounted to the first end of the pivot mechanism. A second wheel is rotatably mounted to the second end of the pivot mechanism. A bias member is mounted to bias the second end of the pivot mechanism toward the pivoted position. A latch is movably mounted between a latched position wherein the latch retains the pivot mechanism in the drive position and an unlatched position wherein the pivot mechanism is released from the drive position to move to the pivoted position.
