  • Patent number: 11412842
Abstract: A deployable chair and desk assembly allowing for facile repositioning to different locations includes a chair and a desk. A pair of posts is engaged to and extends upwardly from a back of the chair. A canopy engaged to the posts shades the chair. A beam is engaged to and extends between the back of the chair and the desk so that the desk is positioned proximate to a front edge of the chair and provides a work surface for a user seated in the chair. Each of a set of ports is engaged to one of the chair and the desk and can operationally engage an electronic device. A solar panel is engaged to an upper surface of the canopy and is operationally engaged to the ports. The solar panel converts light into an electrical current to power an electronic device engaged to a respective port.

  • Patent number: 8519906
Abstract: The invention provides an antenna capable of performance similar to a Yagi-Uda antenna. However, unlike a conventional Yagi Uda antenna, the antenna of the invention is implementable on a substrate and thereby provides a directional antenna capable of disposition within a slender housing such as a cellular communications device. One embodiment of the invention provides an antenna comprising a substrate including a ground plane. The ground plane comprises a base portion and a spine portion extending from the base portion along a central axis of the substrate. A driven antenna element is disposed on a portion of the substrate and coupled to the spine portion to form a first antenna dipole. At least one antenna director element is disposed on a portion of the substrate and coupled to the spine portion to form a second antenna dipole. A reflector element comprises a portion of the ground plane.

  • Publication number: 20060038676
Abstract: A system for use in locating an object, comprising: a tag for placing with an object to be located, the tag comprising a first radio frequency communication module; and a locator device comprising a second radio frequency communication module for communicating with the tag. In one aspect, the locator device includes distance determining means for estimating separation between the tag and the locator device based on a status signal received from the tag; and alarm means for alerting a user when separation between the tag and the locator device falls below a predetermined distance. In another aspect, the locator device includes an output for providing information based on the estimated separation between the tag and the locator device provided by the distance determining means, with the tag and the locator device are configured to communicate with each another using a wireless specification based on IEEE 802.15.4.
