  • Patent number: 11960636
Abstract: Examples of wearable systems and methods can use multiple inputs (e.g., gesture, head pose, eye gaze, voice, and/or environmental factors (e.g., location)) to determine a command that should be executed and objects in the three-dimensional (3D) environment that should be operated on. The multiple inputs can also be used by the wearable system to permit a user to interact with text, such as, e.g., composing, selecting, or editing text.

  • Publication number: 20240087565
Abstract: A method of presenting a signal to a speech processing engine is disclosed. According to an example of the method, an audio signal is received via a microphone. A portion of the audio signal is identified, and a probability is determined that the portion comprises speech directed by a user of the speech processing engine as input to the speech processing engine. In accordance with a determination that the probability exceeds a threshold, the portion of the audio signal is presented as input to the speech processing engine. In accordance with a determination that the probability does not exceed the threshold, the portion of the audio signal is not presented as input to the speech processing engine.

  • Publication number: 20200335128
Abstract: A method of presenting a signal to a speech recognition engine is disclosed. According to an example of the method, an audio signal is received from a user. A portion of the audio signal is identified, the portion having a first time and a second time. A pause in the portion of the audio signal, the pause comprising the second time, is identified. It is determined whether the pause indicates the completion of an utterance of the audio signal. In accordance with a determination that the pause indicates the completion of the utterance, the portion of the audio signal is presented as input to the speech recognition engine. In accordance with a determination that the pause does not indicate the completion of the utterance, the portion of the audio signal is not presented as input to the speech recognition engine.
