  • Patent number: 11995135
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for providing a permissions-aware search and knowledge management system that incorporates user suggested results, document verification, and intelligent user activity tracking across group hierarchies to improve the quality and relevance of search results are described. The permissions-aware search and knowledge management system may enable content stored across a variety of local and cloud-based data stores to be indexed, searched, and displayed to authorized users. The identification and ranking of relevant documents corresponding with a user's search query may take into account user suggested results from the user and others assigned to the same group as the user, whether the underlying content of a search result was verified by a content owner as being up-to-date, the amount of time that has passed since the underlying content was verified by the content owner, and the recent activity of the user and related group members.

  • Patent number: 9402424
Abstract: A bra that adheres to the wearer's torso, enabling the bra to stay securely in place while aesthetically lifting the wearer's breasts up and out. At least one adhesive patch that includes soft silicone affixed to the fabric of the bra, primarily in the areas adjacent to the cups, is provided. The soft silicone adheres to the wearer's skin via Van Der Waals forces, and a secondary layer of silicone or fabric may be used to secure that adhesion. The Van Der Waals adhesion mechanism can be enhanced by the inclusion of micrometer-sized setae along the soft silicone portion of the adhesive patches. The setae can be angled to provide additional support in the desired direction.

  • Patent number: 8656586
Abstract: A method for enhancing the dielectric properties of an electrical cable segment having a central stranded conductor encased in a polymeric insulation jacket and an interstitial void volume in the region of the conductor, including filling the interstitial void volume with a dielectric property-enhancing fluid at a pressure below the elastic limit of the polymeric insulation jacket, and confining the fluid within the interstitial void volume at a residual pressure greater than about 50 psig, with the pressure being imposed along the entire length of the segment but below the elastic limit of the polymeric insulation jacket. Preferably, the residual pressure is sufficient to expand the interstitial void volume along the entire length of the cable segment by at least 5%.

  • Publication number: 20110275256
Abstract: A three- or four-wheeled amphibian (1) comprises hull (2), body (3), front steered wheel (11) or wheels (11, 11?), and rear wheel (9) or wheels (9, 9?). Each steered wheel is connected to the amphibian by a retractable suspension assembly (10, 10?). Upper and lower suspension arms (14 and 15) have pivotal connections (17) and (18) to inner upright arm (16). Retraction rams (28) are connected to body (3), and can retract the wheels for use on water and protract them for use on land. Wheels (11, 11?) also lean on cornering. The pivotal connections (17, 18) for wheel retraction are also used to facilitate leaning. This may be allowed through rotation of drop link (31) around pivot (32). A motor and gearbox assembly (30) may be attached to body (3) to provide controlled lean when cornering, and to keep the amphibian (1) upright when stationary. Leaning may be powered, or user-initiated. Powered lean correction may be provided.
