Publication number: 20250213368Abstract: A spinal fusion system comprising an interbody device includes a leading end, trailing end, and opposed bone contacting sides extending therebetween. The trailing end defines a threaded opening that extends toward the leading end. The system also includes a bone plate that includes inner and outer surfaces and defines a first bone screw opening and connection screw opening extending therethrough. The system further includes a connection screw that includes a head and a threaded shaft. The head is positioned within the connection screw opening of the bone plate and is rotatably connected thereto such that the connection screw is rotatable about a longitudinal axis thereof but is prohibited from translational movement relative to the bone plate. The threaded shaft extends from the connection screw opening and is configured for threaded engagement with the threaded opening of interbody device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 18, 2025Publication date: July 3, 2025Inventors: Bryan D. Patent number: 12312891Abstract: A process is described for milling a window in the casing (2) of an oil or gas producing well, for example in order to drill a lateral well branching off from the main well. A wireline milling tool is first used, in a relatively low cost operation, to create a small window (14) or notch in the casing (2). Provided a small window (14) or notch can be created successfully, an expensive heavy duty coil tubing milling operation can then be conducted to create the full window, some 4-6 feet in length. Previous attempts to create a full window using wireline tools have encountered difficulties due to there being no circulating drilling fluid to remove metal swarf and due to the need for the tool to be supported by casing during the milling operation, when the integrity of the casing is being compromised by drilling the window. The proposed wireline tool has an actuator (4) with relatively small stroke length and a relatively small container (8) to manage the swarf produced by the milling process.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2024Date of Patent: May 27, 2025Assignee: CONOCOPHILLIPS COMPANYInventors: Kenneth Maribu, John Gary Eller, Anthony Ryan

Patent number: 10069820Abstract: Secure registration of a new application with a server system is provided. An old application has been registered with the system. A first link between the new application and the system establishes a first key and first check data is communicated from the system to the new application and passed to the old application. A second link between the old application and the system establishes a second key based on input of a credential to the old application; the first check data is communicated from the old application to the system. Enciphered second check data is communicated from the system to the old application over the second link and further encrypted by the old application using a third key. This generates doubly-enciphered check data which is passed to the new application and decrypted using the first key and a fourth key, generated at the new application based on the first check data and input of the credential to the new application.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2017Date of Patent: September 4, 2018Assignee: Barclays Bank PLCInventors: Steven Bradley, Conall O'Brien, Jeremy Goldstone, Andrew Crichton, James Sellwood, Anthony Ryan

Publication number: 20050150439Abstract: A baffle employs a particular arrangement of baffle plates in a three dimensional configuration to aerodynamically separate popcorn ash particles from a flue gas flow. The baffle is attached to the rear wall of an economizer outlet flue back pass and is placed just below the economizer gas outlet. The baffle is designed to be uniquely shaped in three dimensions to redirect the large popcorn ash particles towards the deepest parts of the hoppers, which increases the fraction of the ash particles that are captured in the hoppers and decreases the potential for plugging in downstream equipment. The baffle is comprised of several triangular plates, usually three plates for every hopper. Each group of three plates is placed such that they appear to be three sides of an inverted pyramid. The open, fourth side of each of these pyramid shapes is on the side of the baffle closest to the front wall.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 10, 2005Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventor: Anthony Ryan
