    Abstract: A settable composition, especially useful in underground mining may be produced by mixing mining tailings with a fine pozzolanic ash, and producing a pumpable slurry, and mixing the pumpable slurry with another composition containing a cement component. Good compressive strength may be obtained while at the same time troublesome or costly disposal of the tailings is avoided.
