    Abstract: A plastic, hollow blow-molded article, from which a container can be formed, includes a container body and an integrally connected base. The base is separated from the container body by severing the article along a cut line. After severing, the container body and the base are telescopically joined together at the open end of the container body to form the container. The base provides a closure for the container. A mold is provided for blow-molding the article from a tubular parison.
