  • Publication number: 20220405610
Abstract: One or more aspects of the present application relate to systems and methods for collecting, processing and generating information regarding risk assessments related to fire events. More specifically, one or more aspects of the present application relate to processing of inputs to generate assessments corresponding to a characterization of risk for individual structures within a defined region. Other aspects of the present application relate to processing of inputs to generate assessments corresponding to a modeling or characterization of fire behavior risk within a defined region. Such assessments of structural risk or fire behavior risk can be utilized in accordance with fire mitigation or personnel organization response to structural risk or fire behavior risk.

  • Publication number: 20190220994
Abstract: A system is described for registering and calibrating physical props in a stage use to present virtual reality (VR) experiences to players. The system comprises a scanner, a machine-based registrar, a pre-programmed VR experience, and a calibrator. The scanner scans the stage to identify physical props and their placements and orientations. The machine-based registrar registers physical props captured by the scan. The pre-programmed VR representation has predetermined places where VR objects are located, or at least perceived to be located to a player wearing a VR headset. The calibrator provides the operator with an image of the physical props overlayed with the VR representation, and signals when a physical prop is not accurately positioned and oriented. The system allows stage assemblers to visualize, and easily correct, any deviation of the physical props' locations and orientations from the predetermined places set forth in the pre-programmed VR representation.

  • Patent number: 9350978
Abstract: A method for efficiently manipulating 3D scenes recorded by a virtual camera using a computer system comprised of projectors, graphics accelerators, one or more CPUs, instances of 3D rendering software, and a MIDI interface, includes receiving from the MIDI controller camera parameters, defining left camera and right camera parameters based on the camera parameters, determining left and right images based upon left and right camera parameters, projecting left and right images, viewing left and right images, integrating left and right images to represent a 3D scene, manipulating the 3D scene until the user is satisfied, and storing the left and right camera parameters, and storing the left and right images.

  • Patent number: 9007379
Abstract: A method for a computer system includes displaying a first plurality of images to a user on a display at a uniform rate wherein the images of the first plurality of images are determined in response to a first plurality of marks associated with a virtual camera location curve within a three-dimensional scene, receiving a plurality of user inputs from a user input device, while the user views the first plurality of images at the uniform rate, determining a second plurality of marks in response to the first plurality of marks associated with the curve and the plurality of user inputs, determining a second plurality of images in response to the second plurality of marks associated with the curve, storing the second plurality of marks associated with the curve in a memory, and displaying the second plurality of images to the user on the display at the uniform rate.
