  • Publication number: 20170109950
Abstract: A security system is provided that integrates physical and logical security controls for the protection of secured resources. The resources may include physical locations and/or computing resources such as databases containing personal information. In some embodiments, information is stored in separate, codependent databases such that by isolating the components of the databases from each other, a successful attack on one component is not sufficient to enable the access of content of the other components. In some embodiments, biometric information is automatically obtained as users approach an access location, and is ready for expedited verification of identity upon request by the user.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 28, 2016
    Publication date: April 20, 2017
    Applicant: Secure Gravity Inc.
Inventors: Edward M. Bacco, Domenic P. Prinzivalli, Anthony T. Collins

  • Patent number: 7912026
Abstract: In a wireless communication network having a plurality of devices operating at different data rates that contend for access to the network, an apparatus is provided that assigns network access parameters so as to control throughput on the network.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7672284
Abstract: In a wireless communication network having a plurality of devices operating at different data rates that contend for access to the network, a method is provided that assigns network access parameters to one or more of the devices so as to control throughput on the network. Examples of network access control parameters are the maximum data packet size and the contention window size. Generally, the network access control parameter for slower data rate users is configured so that they do not occupy the network a disproportionate amount of time compared to faster data rate users.

Date of Patent: March 2, 2010

  • Patent number: 7184777
Abstract: An intelligent spectrum management (ISM) system and method are provided that includes sophisticated features to detect, classify, and locate sources of RF activity. The system comprises one or more sensors positioned at various locations in a region where activity in a shared radio frequency band is occurring and a server coupled to the sensors. Each sensor monitors communication traffic, such as IEEE WLAN traffic, as well as classifies non-WLAN signals occurring in the frequency band. The server receives data from each of the plurality of sensors and that executes functions to process the data supplied by the plurality of sensors. In particular, the server aggregates the data generated by the sensors and generates event reports and other configurable information derived from the sensors that is interfaced to a client application, e.g., a network management station.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 27, 2007
    Assignee: Cognio, Inc.
