  • Patent number: 5393939
Abstract: Apparatus and method for measuring the weight of an object such as a letter, magazine or parcel, while the object is in motion, without using a weighing scale. The apparatus and method disclosed make use of moving, preferably vertically-oriented transport belts driven by a constant velocity, closed-loop feedback system which includes an electric motor. An object to be weighed is engaged and lifted upwards by the moving belts, increasing the load on the motor as a function of the weight of the object. The increased motor current evoked by the lifted object can be processed to extract the object's weight.

  • Patent number: 4584431
Abstract: A high voltage coaxial cable wherein a corona-free configuration is produced by applying a room temperature-curable silicone elastomeric material under pressure to the outer surface of the cable braid so that the material is forced between the voids of the braid and adheres to the primary insulation material at the insulation/braid interface.

Inventors: Robert J. Tippie, Anthony T. Nasuta, Jr.
  • Patent number: 4086427
Abstract: A plurality of shielded wires are held bundled and electrically interconnected at their braided-shield exteriors by a compacted metallic thin-wall honeycomb member whose collapsed cell walls encircle the wires individually. The honeycomb wrap around the wire bundle is encircled by a heat-shrunk sleeve of plastic tubing, and the collapsed cell walls are held electrically joined to the braided shields by conductive adhesive.

  • Patent number: 4038568
Abstract: A pulse peak sample and hold circuit includes a passive input integrator to develop the time of a sample gate. A sensitive comparator develops the gate pulse. A FET and storage capacitor "holds" the actual input amplitude. The circuit is independent of PRF and pulse width.
