  • Patent number: 7350839
Abstract: An improved hand tool is disclosed having an elongated handle member (40) coupled to a tool head (20) and includes a junction (60) between the handle member and a surface of the tool head that defines an elongated interface. A weld (36) is provided along substantially all of the elongated interface so that the tool head is rigidly attached to a lower end of the handle member. A gripping member (80) is coupled to an upper end of the handle member and has a top portion (88) with an arcuate profile coupled to a bottom portion (90) having a substantially U-shaped profile. The tool head includes a blade member formed of a material having a first thickness and integrally formed with a step member having a second thickness greater than the first thickness.

  • Patent number: 7290814
Abstract: A post hole digger for producing a hole in the ground comprising a first handle pivotally coupled to a second handle and a first blade coupled to the first handle and a second blade coupled to the second handle. The first handle and the second handle extend along a plane defined generally by a longitudinal axis of the first handle and a longitudinal axis of the second handle when the first blade and the second blade are in the open configuration. The first blade and the second blade are generally parallel to the plane and spaced apart from the plane when provided in the open configuration.

  • Patent number: 4211337
Abstract: Hinge for two-part, double-wall plastic box. A spine-like projection extending along the rear of the base of the box terminates in hinge pins which fit into holes in the cover as in the prior art. In the novel box, the spine-like projection consists of two spaced spines, and another spine-like projection at the rear of the cover fits into the spacing between those spines to provide two additional hinge points.

  • Patent number: 4162112
Abstract: A storage assembly comprising a housing having a socket adapted to receive a tape magazine, and an integrally formed polymeric lever member which may be manually manipulated to partially eject the magazine from the socket. The lever member includes a first stiff portion mounted for reciprocal motion along one side of the socket so that its end may be pressed adjacent the open end of the socket to operate the lever member; a second stiff portion pivotably mounted adjacent the rear wall of the housing; and a resilient flexible portion connecting the portions which both causes the second portion to pivot to a position at which it will partially eject the magazine when the first portion is pressed inwardly, and biases both portions to a normal position at which a magazine may be positioned fully within the socket.
