  • Patent number: 11821824
Abstract: Systems and methods herein are directed towards the separation of biologic material to obtain a target cell volume and/or cell concentration for harvesting. The target volume and/or concentration of cells may be obtained through a single cycle via three chambers, or by repeated cycles through one or more chambers to dilute the digestive enzymes used in the process and concentrate the harvestable cell volume to a predetermined target.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 18, 2017
Date of Patent: November 21, 2023
    Assignee: TISSUE GENESIS INTERNATIONAL LLC

  • Publication number: 20140193852
Abstract: Devices and methods are described for pre-processing tissue samples containing cells of interest for various therapeutic procedures. Fibrous material may be extracted from the tissue sample through a shredding and separating device, resulting in a non-fibrous sample containing the cells of interest, which may then be washed and centrifuged to remove fluids, oil, and contaminants. The sample may then be digested in a large-volume container, and a piston within the container may push the resulting liberated cell suspension through a cell concentrator such as a hollow-fiber separation module.

  • Patent number: 5133398
Abstract: A shutter assembly which requires minimal storing space substantially comprises a) a plurality of transparent or glass slats which form a shutter by being vertically suspended one after another, b) a storage case storing the slats in a stacked condition, the storage case being mounted on an upper part of an entrance of a building, c) a plurality of slat connecting devices each of which perpendicularly connects the bottom end of any succeeding slat to the upper end of any preceding slat, and d) brake means for applying braking force onto any one of the slats for enabling the shutter to stop at any desired height from the floor of the building. Accordingly, the shutter can be automatically stopped at any desired position from the ground or floor level thus assuring the safety of the user.

  • Patent number: 5040809
Abstract: A portable folding cart can be collapsed into a compact storage assembly. The base of the cart is a generally rectangular platform for supporting items to be transported. A plurality of wheels are mounted to the underside of the platform. The platform has a right side member and left side member, each of the side members being pivotally foldable at a joint along the length of the side member. A plurality of cross braces join the side members to each other, each cross brace also being pivotally foldable at a joint along the length of the cross brace. At the pivot hinge of each cross member, a spring is provided to bias the cross brace into its open position. A handle is attached to the platform and the handle has a pair of upright members, each having a plurality of telescoping segments. The right side upright member is pivotally attached to the right side member of the platform and the left side upright member is pivotally attached to the left side member of the platform.

  • Patent number: 5024293
Abstract: The present invention discloses an emergency ladder equipment. Such an emergency ladder equimpment is mounted on the outside wall of the top floor of buildings. The emergency ladder equipment substantially comprises a number of ladder members which are stored in a storage case in a stacked or folded manner except for an emergency case, wherein the storage case is mounted on the outside wall of buildings. Each ladder member is connected by a connecting device to the subsequent ladder member. Furthermore, the bottom end of each ladder member is supported by a support stay disposed in the storage case. By releasing the support stay, each ladder member slides down one after another in series while being connected by a plurality of connecting devices to form a complete ladder which is installed along the outside wall of the building.
