  • Publication number: 20070128391
Abstract: An insulating component having a layer of insulating material and a sealed envelope around the layer of insulating material, the envelope being is made of elastomer material. The envelope is sealed by a peripheral weld. In a particular exemplary embodiment, the insulating component is part of an article of footwear, in which the component is positioned between an outer layer and an inner layer of a liner and is assembled to the upper by a seam along the peripheral weld.

  • Publication number: 20030192109
Abstract: A garment reinforcement constituted of a thermoplastic film provided with a heat sealing surface and is capable of being applied under heat and pressure. The film of the reinforcement preferably has a thickness between 25 and 250 microns and is made from at least one of the following polymers: polyurethane, polyamide, polyester, polyolefine (polyethylene and polypropylene), polyvinyl chloride.

  • Patent number: 6367166
Abstract: A footwear that includes a foot covering and a lining, wherein the lining includes a multilayered fabric having two parallel textile surfaces connected together via a layer of threads, extending substantially perpendicularly to the plane constituted by each of the two surfaces, and defining a compressible space between the two parallel surfaces. The compressible space extends from a base to an upper end of the foot covering and the lining is connected to the foot covering upper via a turned-over top peripheral stitch.

  • Publication number: 20020002780
Abstract: An inner liner adapted to equip an article of footwear, and a process for manufacturing such inner liner. The liner includes wedging elements positioned between the upper and the lining. These wedging elements are connected to the upper by mechanical assemblies such as seams, i.e., by stitching. The liner thus obtained can be washed in a hot fluid whose temperature is within a range of about 40 to 100 degrees Celsius.

  • Patent number: 6260288
Abstract: A boot that includes an external upper and an internal lining, wherein the inner lining includes a multilayered fabric having two parallel textile surfaces connected together via a layer of threads, extending substantially perpendicularly to the plane constituted by each of the two surfaces, and defining a compressible space between the two parallel surfaces, wherein it extends from the base to the upper end of the external upper, and wherein it is only connected to the external upper via a top peripheral stitch.
