Publication number: 20150059635Abstract: The invention relates to a boat having a longitudinal direction, including a first bow, two inflatable lateral tubes extending according to the longitudinal direction of the boat, and an inflatable base arranged between the two inflatable lateral tubes. The inflatable base further comprises a floor portion, and at least one first pair of end portions extending from one of the two longitudinal ends of the floor portion. A fold line is formed between the floor portion and each of the end portions of the first pair, and when the inflatable base is in its inflated state, each end portion is in a position folded around the corresponding fold line to form the first bow of the boat.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2014Publication date: March 5, 2015Inventors: Antoine FRITSCH, Vivien DURISOTTI

Patent number: 8632370Abstract: An amphibious vehicle includes: a hull (1) having a longitudinal axis; an aquatic propulsion element; a terrestrial propulsion element (5a, 5b) mounted on arms (4a, 4b) pivoting about an axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the hull, and capable of assuming a stowed position when the vehicle moves over water using the aquatic propulsion element, and an extended position in which the vehicle can move on the ground using the terrestrial propulsion element. In the stowed position, the arms (4a, 4b) extend into cavities (3a, 3b) formed in the hull (1), and a portion of the arms (4a, 4b) defines a lid that at least partially closes the cavity (3a, 3b) in the longitudinal direction of the hull bottom (2).Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2009Date of Patent: January 21, 2014Assignee: Iguana YachtsInventor: Antoine Fritsch

Publication number: 20090165695Abstract: A folding kayak that comprises a hull having a first rigid part with a top edge and a second rigid part with a top edge, an inflatable sponson disposed along the top edges of the first rigid part and the second rigid part, and a textile envelope having an outer edge and secured to the hull. The first rigid part and the second rigid part, which are adjacent to each other in a transverse central region of the kayak, are buoyancy tanks of given volume, each having an underwater hull shape on the outside and further include self-bailing holes.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2005Publication date: July 2, 2009Inventor: Antoine Fritsch

Patent number: 5505280Abstract: An elevator car has a car door having a arcuate cross-section and attaching to and rotating about a pivot. A hoistway door has an arcuate cross-section and is selectively coupled to a car door to open and close therewith.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1993Date of Patent: April 9, 1996Assignee: Otis Elevator CompanyInventors: John K. Salmon, Jean-Pierre Bourbon, Antoine Fritsch, Herve Saillio, Sanjay Kamani

Patent number: 5431251Abstract: An elevator car, which is used with a curvilinear door that encloses an opening of the car, has a back wall, a first side wall attaching to the back wall, and a second side wall attaching to the first side wall at a point that is away from the back wall. The said second side wall extends from the first side wall towards the front opening. The second side wall is shaped and arranged to allow the curvilinear door to open without touching the car. The car has a floor attaching to a bottom portion of the back wall, the first side wall, and the second side wall, having a curvilinear section extending out the front of said car beyond the second side wall. The curvilinear section cooperates with the curvilinear door to prevent objects from falling therebetween. The elevator car enables an elevator to use center opening doors in a narrow hoistway.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1993Date of Patent: July 11, 1995Assignee: Otis Elevator CompanyInventors: John K. Salmon, Antoine Fritsch, Sanjay Kamani

Patent number: 5427204Abstract: A hoistway and a car door are coupled by means of a vane attached to one of the hoistway door and the car door, and a mating channel mounted to the other of the hoistway or car door. A mechanism allows the channel to extend from its mounting towards the vane if the car is in preparing to load or unload passengers. The vane enters the channel to couple the car and hoistway doors for motion together. If the car is in motion the mechanism causes the channel to move towards its mounting and away from the vane so that each channel does not interfere with any vanes on any floor that is passed while in the car is in motion. The channel allows the vane attached thereto, to slightly ascend and descend while still coupled to the channel. The mounting has a spring that bends to move the channel away from the vane and unbends to move the channel towards the vane. The channel releases a lock attached to a hoistway door as the channel moves away from its mounting to allow the hoistway door to open as the car doors open.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1993Date of Patent: June 27, 1995Assignee: Otis Elevator CompanyInventors: John K. Salmon, Antoine Fritsch

Patent number: 5407029Abstract: An elevator landing, which is used with a curvilinear hoistway door has a lintel, a guide attached to the lintel, the guide having a curvilinear slot having an inner edge and an outer edge for guiding an upper portion of the curvilinear door and, a curvilinear sill having a curvilinear second slot having an inner edge and an outer edge for guiding a lower edge portion of the doors. The first slot and the second slot are in register with each other. The sill slot extends vertically through the sill.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1993Date of Patent: April 18, 1995Assignee: Otis Elevator CompanyInventors: John K. Salmon, Antoine Fritsch
