  • Patent number: 9387631
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an ophthalmic lens includes molding the lens (1) between a first mold portion (6A) and a second mold portion (6B) with the first entry surface (4A) formed by making in the lens a molded cavity by means of a stud (6C) secured to the second mold portion (6B), and that the light guide (4) is temporarily secured to the stud (6C) prior to molding. The second entry surface (4B) is formed by making in the lens a molded cavity by means of a mold insert (7) temporarily secured to the light guide (4) prior to molding, the first mold portion (6A) being placed above said insert (7).

  • Patent number: 9223147
Abstract: A method produces a spectacle lens that provides both ophthalmic vision and an additional type of vision. The method includes two consecutive steps consisting of calculating a rear surface and a front surface of the lens. The additional vision type corresponds to the perception of a light that is conveyed between the front and rear surfaces by an insert built into the lens. The rear surface of the glass is initially calculated to provide a correction of the additional vision type, and the front surface is calculated to correct the ophthalmic vision. The two surfaces of the glass therefore have complex shapes, which simultaneously reduce the optical aberration levels for both types of vision.

  • Patent number: 8999210
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of manufacturing a lens (1, 2) that has a front face and a rear face, and into which light beams emitted by an optical element of a light beam generator system (IB) are introduced via an entry surface (Si) and directed towards the eye of the wearer to enable information content to be viewed, by means of a transparent optical insert (IA, 2A, I) constituted by a light guide, said insert (I) being with a form substantially identical to the form of a final lens suitable for being positioned in a frame (3) of a support.

  • Publication number: 20130069259
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an ophthalmic lens is provided where a first entry surface (4A) is formed by making in the lens a molded cavity by means of a stud (6C) secured to the second mold portion (6B), and that the light guide (4) is temporarily secured to said stud (6C) prior to molding. The second entry surface (4B) is formed by making in the lens a molded cavity by means of a mold part (7A) comprised of a peripheral cylindrical element (7), the first mold portion (6A) being placed above this peripheral cylindrical element (7) and the space between the first mold portion 6A and the second mold portion (6B) being closed by this peripheral cylindrical element (7).

  • Publication number: 20120249899
Abstract: An eyeglass (10) is adapted for providing an ophthalmic vision and a supplementary vision to a wearer of said eye-glass, both ophthalmic and supplementary visions being sharp during respective periods. To this purpose, a transparent active device (3) is located between the back face (BF) of the eyeglass and a light-conducting element (2), this latter being embedded within the eyeglass and dedicated to output the light of the supplementary vision. The transparent active device switches between two optical power values, which are dedicated to make sharp the ophthalmic vision and the supplementary vision, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20120057122
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a spectacle lens that provides both ophthalmic vision and an additional type of vision, said method comprising two consecutive steps consisting of calculating a rear surface (FP) and a front surface (FA) of the lens. The additional vision type corresponds to the perception of a light (VS) that is conveyed between the front and rear surfaces by an insert (2) built into the lens. The rear surface of the glass is initially calculated to provide a correction of the additional vision type, and the front surface is calculated to correct the ophthalmic vision. The two surfaces of the glass therefore have complex shapes, which simultaneously reduce the optical aberration levels for both types of vision.
