  • Publication number: 20090205735
Abstract: Elastic hose (1) of finite length which, in at least one segment (9) of its overall length, has a cross-sectional shape (11) which deviates from a circular cross section (10) up to a pressure considerably below the operating pressure. The sum of the partial segments (9) with the cross section (10) which deviates from the circular shape is less than the overall length of the molded hose (1) and the molded hose (1) has an approximately circular cross section (10) in the remaining partial lengths or segments (2, 5). The transitions (6, 7) from the cross section (11) which deviates from the circular shape to the circular cross section (10) run continuously in transition regions (6, 7). The transition regions (6, 7) are spaced apart from the connecting ends (2, 5) of the molded hose (1) in such a way that they lie outside the clamping zone of the connecting ends (2, 5) to connecting fittings (3).

  • Patent number: 6761188
Abstract: The invention relates to a flexible hose line, in particular, a high-pressure hose line which is subjected to a pressurized forming process, preferably for variable levels of pressure. Said flexible hose line consists of several layers, at least one of which is configured as a reinforcing layer. The hose line is characterised by an inner layer (1) with a profile which can be elastically stressed in at least the longitudinal direction of the hose. Said inner layer is the only layer whose length can be modified.

  • Patent number: 4707203
Abstract: To convey corrosive liquids, rubber hoses are customarily provided with an inner lining that is made of a synthetic material which is resistant to solvent. In order to achieve the previously unobtainable smooth, fold-free application of the thin plastic foil against the inner rubber layer of a hose, the present invention utilizes an extremely thin-walled contractible foil sleeve that is smoothly contracted upon a rigid fabrication mandrel. This foil sleeve then forms the base for the further build-up of the hose.

  • Patent number: 4662405
Abstract: A flexible, very high pressure hose as a flexible conducting member in hydraulic systems. The wall of the hose contains filamentary load-carrying cords which are embedded in two or more layers. The load-carrying cords are combined to form a plurality of strips which cross one another or are braided with one another. The present invention deviates from the heretofore known symmetrical arrangement where the strips of a given layer have the same number of load-carrying cords in both directions, and instead provides an asymmetrical layer construction including strips which in one direction have a different number of load-carrying cords than do the strips which extend in the opposite direction. While the local resistance to pressure remains the same, the advantages of the present invention are distinct improvements, primarily in the flexibility and the service life of the novel hoses.
