  • Publication number: 20140366556
Abstract: A vane seal assembly for a gas turbine engine comprises of a case including a first connector. A notch in the case adjoins the groove. A vane having a second connector mates with the first connector. A seal assembly is provided between the vane and the case to provide a sealed cavity adjoining the notch.

  • Publication number: 20130243591
Abstract: An airfoil for a gas turbine engine according to one exemplary embodiment includes an airfoil body that extends between a leading edge and a trailing edge. A cooling circuit can be defined within the airfoil body. The cooling circuit can include at least one trip strip disposed within a cavity of the cooling circuit between a leading edge inner wall and a first rib. The at least one trip strip can include an increasing height in a direction from the first rib toward the leading edge inner wall.

  • Patent number: 8348600
Abstract: An inlet guide vane assembly includes an active control feedback system and a plurality of inlet guide vanes. The inlet guide vanes are variable between a plurality of positions. Each of the plurality of inlet guide vanes is positioned in response to an output of the activate control feedback system.

  • Patent number: 7878096
Abstract: A variable position nozzle assembly for a milling or grinding machine where a nozzle is positioned to target coolant to the cutting area of a chosen tool. Each tool may have a different length or cutting or grinding surface width. The CNC program that directs tool motion and tool changes, re-aims the variable position nozzle assembly based on a chosen tool and the dynamic position of the tool as it traverses a workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20080172905
Abstract: A method of and device for picking up ferrous debris off of a walking surface in a work area provides a way for workers to passively help maintain the work area and keep it free from the debris. Workers wear magnetic footwear onto the walking surface. A magnet is inserted or affixed in any recessed portion of a sole of the footwear such that a receptacle is created in the bottom of the sole to which any metallic debris that is capable of being magnetized can be attracted and retained as the workers move around the walking surface. The footwear can then be cleaned when the workers leave the work area, either by cleaning the debris from the magnet or removing some part that has retained the debris with its magnetic attraction.
