Patent number: 7338243Abstract: A thread-cutting screw (1) serves for being screwed into the bore-hole wall (1a) of a bore-hole (1b). It comprises a substantially cylindrical core (2) of metal which has a central longitudinal axis (4), a thread (5) forming one piece with the core (2), and at least one cutting element (6, 7), disposed within the thread (5), for cutting engagement with the bore-hole wall. The core (2) consists of a metal of a carbon content between 0 and 0.5 percent by weight. The at least one cutting element (6, 7) is fixedly connected with the core (2), constituting a welded structure of a metal with a carbon content greater than 0.8 percent by weight. Being safely connected to the core (2), the cutting elements (6, 7) offer efficient cutting operation, with any risk of brittle fracture of the screw (1) being precluded.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2003Date of Patent: March 4, 2008Inventor: Anton Gerhard

Patent number: 6086302Abstract: A self-tapping screw, in particular a concrete screw, comprises a cylindrical core with a central longitudinal axis and a thread designed in a single piece with the core and provided, in the area of its periphery, with cutting notches formed by triangles open towards the periphery of the thread. The flanks of the thread extend substantially in parallel to each other radially to the central longitudinal axis.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1999Date of Patent: July 11, 2000Assignee: TOGE -- Dubel A. Patent number: 5249897Abstract: An expanding plug comprises in usual manner an expanding sleeve, an expanding screw and an expanding cone which serves to expand the expanding sleeve and which can be pulled into the expanding sleeve by means of the expanding screw. So as to reduce the material need for the expanding cone and the manufacturing expenditure, the expanding cone is bent from metal sheet. Its edge surfaces of its wall limiting a joint gap extend in the direction to the central longitudinal axis and tangentially to the latter bear unconnected and flush against each other. The expanding cone formed with relatively thick walls comprises hardened surface regions and an unhardened basic region.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 1993Date of Patent: October 5, 1993Assignee: "Toge-Dubel" A. Gerhard GmbHInventor: Anton Gerhard

Patent number: 5112174Abstract: An expanding plug in usual manner comprises an expanding sleeve, an expanding screw and an expanding cone which serves to expand the expanding sleeve and which can be pulled into the expanding sleeve by means of the expanding screw. So as to reduce the material need for the expanding cone and the manufacturing expenditure, the expanding cone is bent from sheet. Its edges of its wall limiting a joint gap are positively connected with each other by means of an interlocking in the direction of the central longitudinal axis and tangentially to the latter or by welding.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 1991Date of Patent: May 12, 1992Assignee: "Toge-Dubel" A Gerhard GmbHInventor: Anton Gerhard

Patent number: 5085544Abstract: An expanding plug comprises an expanding sleeve made in one piece and provided with a continuous longitudinal slot, an expanding body arranged in the expanding sleeve, and a screw engaging with a thread in the expanding body and bearing with its head against a rim of the expanding sleeve. On its external wall the expanding body is provided with several expanding surfaces one arranged behind the other in longitudinal direction, which bear against associated inclined surfaces on the internal surface of the expanding sleeve. For the purpose of creating an embodiment particularly simple in design and manufacture, the inclined surfaces are provided on the projections of the expanding sleeve directed radially inwards and engaging with recesses of the expanding body 2 limiting the expanding surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1990Date of Patent: February 4, 1992Assignee: Toge-Dubel A. Gerhard GmbHInventor: Anton Gerhard

Patent number: 4892450Abstract: A fastening element comprises a tie bolt (1) and a clamping wedge (2) which for the purpose of transporting and insertion into a bore hole (24) are clamped together via a flange (5), which at the same time is used for attachment of a load (25) to a ceiling (23). To prevenr trouble when inserting the clamping wedge (2), it is provided on its outer face (11) with protrusions (21) which, in the non-extended state of the fastening element, abut on an open passage (19) of the flange (5), while otherwise the outer face (11) of the clamping wedge (2) has free play in respect to the open passage (19) of the flange (5).Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 1988Date of Patent: January 9, 1990Assignee: "Toge-Dubel" A. Patent number: 4813832Abstract: A fixing element which can be keyed in a hole in a solid base has a tie bolt and a key which is movably mounted on a key surface slanting relative to the central longitudinal axis of the tie bolt. There is furthermore provided a power store which is supported on the one hand against an abutment of the tie bolt, and, on the other hand exerts a pressure force onto the key. Provided also is a ring which holds together the tie bolt and the key. In order to ensure with such a fixing element a simple construction and simple possibilities of assembly for a short distance from the base, the power store applies constantly against the key, the inelastic ring in a position in the region of the key surface of the tie bolt clamps the tie bolt and the key against each other under the pressure force of the power store, and the ring in a position behind the key surface holds the key freely movable in longitudinal direction relative to the tie bolt.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 1987Date of Patent: March 21, 1989Inventor: Anton Gerhard
