  • Patent number: 7997003
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for drying plate-shaped products in a multi-level throughflow dryer, moist air stagnated under the housing ceiling is sucked away and delivered into the suction area of axial blowers arranged in the lower levels, where the moist air is then differentially admixed into a quantity of re-heated drying air, and the mixture is delivered to the nozzle boxes of the dryer.

  • Publication number: 20090038176
Abstract: The invention relates to a dryer, especially multi-level throughflow dryer for preferably plate-shaped products. The invention essentially aims to achieve a considerable improvement of the drying air guidance and a uniform residual moisture in all products (8) at the end of the drying process, while maintaining the per se known axial blower arrangement, per each dryer zone (1).

  • Publication number: 20080282575
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the drying of water-containing, preferably plate-shaped products in a throughflow dryer in multi-level construction, and such a dryer for carrying out the method. The invention aims to suck away moist air stagnated under the housing (2) in a dyer of the above mentioned type and to transport this moist air into the suction area (12) of the axial blowers (9) arranged in the lower levels, and thereupon to differentially admix moist air into a quantity of drying air and deliver it to the nozzle boxes (5) of the dryer.

  • Publication number: 20080104857
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to create a multistage continuous microwave dryer for plate-shaped products, especially fiber boards, using microwave energy as a drying means while taking preventive steps that allow for an optimal drying process of the fiber boards. Said aim is achieved by disposing the rod antennas (12) above each plane of conveyance of the continuous microwave dryer (1), embodying the belt conveyor (6, 7, 8) on the respective plane of conveyance as a metallic perforated belt that can be effective as a reflective shield for the rod antennas, placing means (13a, 13b) for sucking off humid air between the rod antennas (12), said means acting as a reflective shield, and connecting the means for sucking off humid air to a common negative pressure source.

  • Patent number: 6223408
Abstract: An object, e.g. a piston or a fluid medicament, is inserted into a tubular syringe body centered on a syringe axis and having a pair of ends by an apparatus having a support movable axially forward toward and axially rearward away from the body and a tube extending along a sleeve axis generally parallel to the syringe axis, having a rear end fixed in the support and a front end fittable inside the syringe. A centering sleeve is formed centered on the sleeve axis with a generally frustoconical centering surface engageable with the rear body end surrounding the tube. This sleeve is displaceable axially on the support between a front position with the centering surface projecting axially forward past the tube front end and a rear position with the tube front end projecting axially forward past the centering surface. The support is displaced axially forward toward the body and thereby engages the centering surface coaxially with the body rear end.

  • Patent number: 5384969
Abstract: A bulk material dryer of the through flow type is equipped with an air permeable bulk material conveyor for carrying the bulk material through a dryer housing. The inlet and outlet ends of the dryer housing are sealed by paddle wheels, the paddles of which dip into the layer of bulk material on the bulk material conveyor. A moving filter belt is arranged in the dryer housing in such a position that dust laden air that has passed through the bulk material must also pass through the moving filter belt for the continuous cleaning of the drying air. One or more cleaning devices are arranged along the moving filter belt for in turn cleaning the filter belt, thereby assuring a continuous drying operation.

  • Patent number: 4823479
Abstract: A material dryer, especially for bulk material, includes a single entrance pressurized drum housing and an endless conveyor for passing the material through the drum housing. The conveyor may include a screen belt. The housing and the dryer components in the housing are divided into identical modular units, except for the entrance and discharge units. Each modular unit includes a tubular housing section, a conveyor section, and a treatment medium handling section for circulating and heating the drying medium such as super-heated steam. The heating and circulating of the treatment medium is individually controllable in each modular unit. The entrance unit is equipped with conveyor belt guides and with a sealed material supply device. The discharge unit is equipped with a belt drive and with a sealed material discharge device.
