Patent number: 11871315Abstract: Systems and methods for mobile connectivity provisioning at an access network are described. The access network has a service connection to a service center that is external to the access network. The method includes receiving, from a mobile vehicle, an indication of a connection request for a device on the mobile vehicle. The connection request identifies the device using a media access control (MAC) address. The method includes generating a globally unique identifier (GUID) associated with the MAC address and transmitting a first message comprising the GUID to a network access terminal on the vehicle. The network access terminal redirects the connection request to the service center via a traffic connection. The redirected connection request includes the GUID. The access network receives an indication of a network service for the device from the service center; the indication identifies the device based on the GUID.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2022Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: Viasat, Inc.Inventors: Roger Prenger, Joshua Righetti, Anton Hoffman, Sandeep Moorthy, William Moseley, Stephen O′Neal, James Esserman

Publication number: 20230388559Abstract: A media content management server is configured to receive, from a first remote server, first metadata associated with a first set of content items, the first metadata representing a first parameter for each of the first set of content items in a first data format, and further to receive, from a second remote server, second metadata associated with a second set of content items, the second metadata representing a second parameter for each of the second set of content items in a second data format different than the first data format. Reformatted metadata is generated by reformatting the first parameter and the second parameter to a common data format. Rules engine circuitry is configured to generate a data transfer package by comparing the reformatted first and second parameters to content access rule data to determine subsets of content items for inclusion in the data transfer package.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 11, 2023Publication date: November 30, 2023Inventors: Stephen O'Neal, Sandeep Moorthy, Wesley A. Konderla, Anton Hoffman

Patent number: 11775049Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for facilitating providing of sensor capability in devices using device attachments. In one example, a sensor device includes an attachment body configured to be disposed along a side of a user device when the sensor device is coupled to the user device. The sensor device further includes an actuator configured to selectively apply a force. The sensor device further includes a connector block coupled to the actuator and configured to selectively extend from or retract into the attachment body in response to the force. The sensor device further includes a connector configured to couple to a connector port of the user device and provide data communication between the sensor device and the user device. The connector is at least partially disposed in the connector block. Related systems and devices are also provided.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2020Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: FLIR Systems ABInventors: Anton Hoffman, Christian Högstedt

Patent number: 11493765Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for facilitating image relay for wearable devices with thermal imaging devices attached thereto. In one example, a system includes an attachment configured to releasably couple to an exterior surface of a wearable apparatus. The attachment includes an infrared sensor assembly configured to capture a thermal image of a scene. The attachment further includes a display component configured to provide data indicative of the thermal image. The system further includes an optical relay component configured to couple to an interior surface of the wearable apparatus. The optical relay component is further configured to receive the data from the display component and relay the data within the wearable apparatus to facilitate presenting the data for viewing by a user while wearing the wearable apparatus. Related devices and methods are also provided.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2020Date of Patent: November 8, 2022Assignee: FLIR Systems ABInventors: Christian Högstedt, Anton Hoffman
