  • Patent number: 10822155
Abstract: A reusable and disposable drinking container and vessel system includes a holder having a body formed between opposed connectable ends. The connectable ends form a rigid structure when the connectable ends are engaged. The rigid structure includes a sidewall, a rim, and defines an opening. An insert, defining a flexible body sized and shaped to fit within the opening of the holder, is provided to engage the rigid structure of the holder. The flexible body includes a bottom and a sidewall forming a drinking cavity extending from the bottom to the opening. The holder and the reusable insert are disengagable. The holder is compactable when the connectable ends are disengaged. The system provides enhanced insulation, better hygiene, and superior thermomechanical properties and chemical resistance. The system provides an opportunity to substitute disposable paper and plastic cups, which are difficult to recycle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 2, 2018
Date of Patent: November 3, 2020
Inventors: Anton Khomenko, Febian Bahari, Oleksii Karpenko
  • Patent number: 10670389
Abstract: This patent document discloses fiber sensing techniques and devices for shape monitoring by using single- and multi-core optical fiber implementations and optical interferometry. Implementations can be made based on coherent optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) or optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 22, 2018
Date of Patent: June 2, 2020
    Assignee: General Photonics Corporation
Inventors: Anton Khomenko, Xiaotian Steve Yao, Xiaojun James Chen
  • Patent number: 10527543
Abstract: The technology disclosed in this application provide for non-destructive and non-contact optical characterization of fiber reinforced plastic composites and other structures under test based on optical transmission scanning.
