Abstract: A tank screen (10) having at least one contact region or contact area (14) for positioning the tank screen relative to a tank inlet, a solid wall (16) having a portion extending above the at least one contact area or contact region (14), and a mesh screen (18) for filtering leaves from water entering the rainwater tank, the mesh screen (18)comprising a mesh side wall (20) that has an upper region located above the at least one contact area or contact region (14), the at least the upper region of the mesh sidewall (20) being at least partly enclosed by the solid sidewall (16).

Abstract: A rain head comprising a lower body, a screen and an upper body. The screen includes a frame having a trough or recess. Lower parts of the sidewalls of the upper body 14 can fit into the trough or recess to enable the upper body to be removably mounted to the rain head. The screen also includes a peripheral flange and a downwardly extending lip that enable the screen to be removably mounted to the upper part of the lower body. At least some water splashing off the screen during a rain event comes into contact with the upper body and is re-directed to flow into the lower body and out through the outlet of the lower body to a rainwater collection tank. The screen and upper body may be provided separately to the lower body.

Abstract: A fitting, and method for mounting the fitting, to a water tank including a wall defining an inlet opening. The fitting comprising a solar shield for mounting to an edge of the wall, the edge defining the inlet opening. The solar shield including a base defining a lower region; at least a first arm extending upwardly from the base, the first arm having a portion that overlies an external surface of the tank when the fitting is fitted to the tank; at least a second arm extending upwardly from the base; and, a solar shield adapted to allow fluid to pass located, wherein the solar shield is adapted to snap fit into the inlet opening when the fitting is fitted to the tank without the use of additional fasteners, joiners and/or adhesives.

Abstract: A T-piece for use in a water diverter is disclosed. The T-piece comprises an inlet for contaminated water and uncontaminated water, a first outlet for contaminated water, a second outlet for uncontaminated water, and a chamber between the inlet, the first outlet, and the second outlet. A portion of the chamber expands outwardly away from the inlet in order that the contaminated water adhered to the surface of the inlet becomes separated from the surface of the chamber. A water diverter comprising the T-piece is also disclosed.

Abstract: An apparatus for filtering solid and/or non-dissolved contaminants entrained in flowing water, the apparatus comprising an inlet for the water containing the entrained solid or non-dissolved contaminants to flow into a filtering chamber; a first outlet for expelling the unfiltered water from the filtering chamber; the filtering chamber further comprising: a curved or corner portion in the filtering chamber providing at least a part of a flow path of water from the inlet to the first outlet such that flow of the water along the curved or corner portion changes the direction of flow of the water; and a filtering screen for filtration of solid and/or non-dissolved contaminants from the influent water thereby allowing passage of filtered water out of the filtering chamber.

Abstract: A surgical clamp assembly 100 for use in keyhole surgery is disclosed. The assembly includes: a surgical clamp 10 for forming a clamping loop around a bodily lumen 8. The clamp includes: a strap 20, the strap including an elongate grippable portion 23; and a head 30 including a gripper 40, the gripper having an open mouth, the open mouth shaped to allow lateral entry of the strap into the gripper so as to form the clamping loop. The assembly further includes: a deployment tube 60 for deploying the clamp through a keyhole; and a manipulator 70 for manipulating the clamp through the deployment tube. The elongate body is biased to move from a constrained generally straight condition within the deployment tube to an unrestrained curled condition within a patient. A surgical clamp assembly, that includes a surgical clamp is also disclosed.
