Patent number: 7090219Abstract: Sealing device for sealing at least one zone of underpressure or overpressure adjoining a moving surface that includes at least one sealing element, positionable opposite the moving surface to form a front and a rear, with respect to a surface running direction. The sealing device includes a sealing section located at the front and a ventilation section located at the rear. The sealing section is structured to sealingly interact with the moving surface; and the ventilation section is structured and arranged to form a gap with the moving surface that widens in the surface running direction.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2003Date of Patent: August 15, 2006Assignee: Voith Paper Patent GmbHInventors: Herbert Schrefl, Rüdiger Keinberger, Valentin Weiss, Anton Luger

Patent number: 5437526Abstract: An anchoring arrangement for use in underground mining or foundation work or as a reinforcing element for concrete includes a rod-shaped tension member of composite fiber material which has, over at least an anchoring portion thereof, a helically extending external thread with ribs formed by impressing valleys in the tension member. An anchoring member having a corresponding internal thread can be screwed onto the tension member. For obtaining a radial pressure on the tension member as a result of a wedge effect, the angle of inclination of the sides of the thread relative to the longitudinal axis of the tension member is smaller than 45.degree.. The thread preferably is a fiat trapezoidal thread. In an anchoring member which is stiff relative to circumferential tensile forces, the flat angle of inclination of the sides of the thread increases the radial pressure acting on the tension member, which leads to an increased effect into the depth and a higher resistance to shearing.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 1992Date of Patent: August 1, 1995Assignees: Dyckerhoff & Witmann Aktiengesellschaft, Rochling Haren KGInventors: Thomas Herbst, Berthold Bolmer, Hartmut von Grolman, Anton Lugering, Lorenz Schnitzler
