  • Publication number: 20230105501
Abstract: An energy efficient distillation process is provided. Energy efficiency originates from a combination two processes: a) the vaporization occurring with high pressure and high temperature, which decreases enthalpy of vaporization, where the enthalpy of vaporization can be equal to zero if the vaporization occurs to critical state of vaporizing fluid; and b) thermal energy and hydraulic energy of vaporized fluid return to the feed liquid with the system of heat exchangers and pressure exchangers. The energy efficient distillation herein can be applied in multiple existing distillation processes.

  • Publication number: 20210200566
Abstract: An example method is provided to collect telemetry data of an object in a virtualized infrastructure at a customer's premise based on a manifest for the telemetry data. The method includes receiving a request for the telemetry service and storing the request in a first queue, retrieving the request from the first queue, determining if the customer has agreed to share the telemetry data from the virtualized infrastructure, and retrieving a manifest for the telemetry data from a cloud analytics site remote from the customer's premise, the manifest defining a telemetry level defining an amount of the telemetry data to be collected. When the customer has agreed to share the telemetry data from the virtualized infrastructure and the telemetry level is not off, the method also includes uploading the collected telemetry data to the cloud analytics site.

  • Publication number: 20170334510
Abstract: A track racing bicycle having a head tube and/or down tube with asymmetrical left and right sides. A left side of the head tube and/or down tube may be closer to a central plane of a frame of the track racing bicycle for aerodynamic purposes. Moreover, the drivetrain may be disposed on the left side of the frame instead of the right side. Also, a rear wheel of the track racing bicycle may have a mechanism for mitigating or prohibiting forward slip of the rear wheel in the rear dropouts.

  • Publication number: 20150191211
Abstract: An aerodynamic straw and a straw mount for selectively positioning the aerodynamic straw is disclosed. In this manner, a mouthpiece of the straw can be optimally positioned so that the rider need only move his or her head slightly to bite down on the mouthpiece and hydrate him or herself during a ride. In this manner, the rider can maintain the aerodynamic tucked in position while riding a road bicycle.

  • Publication number: 20110301862
Abstract: The problem of analyzing, visualizing an interpreting data of DNA arrays (array CGH and SNP arrays) in a clinical setting becomes very important as DNA arrays take over clinical diagnostics. Reporting of detected chromosomal aberrations are complicated with data noise and presence of “normal” chromosomal variants that may occur even in healthy patients. Clinicians are facing interpretation of array data and detected chromosomal anomalies in patient samples every day. The disclosed system provides means for automated detection of chromosomal anomalies in individual samples. It also enables its users to interpret detected aberrations in an efficient manner so that clinically relevant anomalies get reported and aberrations that can occur in healthy patients get ignored. It also allows its users to accumulate and mine data from multiple human samples and re-use it in daily diagnostic operations to improve clinical interpretation of newly acquired samples.

  • Publication number: 20090204339
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided for determining a confidence measure for the output of a process for assessing proteomic and genomic information samples. Typically, data is received as the results from a microarryi experiment. The confidence measure is intended to determine whether the results of the experiment have been degraded due to experimental error. Several criteria are used by which quality is determined. The criteria are preferably combined into a combined quality measure in order to account for several possible sources of error.
