  • Patent number: 10407086
Abstract: A device and a method for operating decentralized functional units in an industrial system include a) a higher-level control system which exchanges information with the decentralized functional units by data telegrams, b) a data transport network with network access points; c) communication units connected to a network access point and providing the decentralized functional units with access to the data transport network; d) an energy transport network to which the decentralized functional units are connected and which supplies electric energy to the decentralized functional units; e) intelligent energy storage devices connected to the energy transport network and consuming or outputting energy in accordance with the higher-level control system and/or with at least one of the remaining energy storage devices. The energy transport network has energy supply points distributed along a bus structure.

  • Patent number: 9156484
Abstract: A device and a method operate decentralized functional units arranged in an industrial installation. The device contains a superordinate control system which interchanges information with the decentralized functional units using data messages, and a data transport network having a number of network access points. The superordinate control system is coupled to the data transport network via at least one network access point. The device further has communication units which are connected to a network access point and provide the decentralized functional units with access to the data transport network, and an energy transport network to which the decentralized functional units are connected and which supplies the decentralized functional units with electrical energy. A number of intelligent energy stores are connected to the energy transport network and consume energy and/or output energy in accordance with the super ordinate control system and/or at least one of the other energy stores.

  • Patent number: 4656351
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for controlling a load with an electronic sensor are provided in accordance with the teachings of the present invention. Upon a detection of a condition to which a sensor is responsive and an initiation of a switching of a load, further switching of the load by the sensor is inhibited for predetermined intervals. The predetermined intervals are determined in relation to avoidance of switching conditions not aptly representative of actual conditions to be sensed, such as those imposed by the switching of the load.

  • Patent number: 4220999
Abstract: A control panel or console for an electronic device which contains a digital process control computer into which there should be fed a predetermined number of data records. At the control panel there are arranged digital display elements, the number of which is equal to the number of data records. An unambiguous correlation exists between these display elements and the data records. Additionally, a further digital display element and a device for the data input are arranged at the control panel and between which there prevails an unambiguous correlation for the purpose of displaying the last infed data record. The invention is preferably used for directing an electro-medical device or piece of equipment and generally for directing a work process controlled by the process control computer.
