  • Patent number: 6407470
Abstract: An electric power-transmission device having a primary conductor arrangement comprising at least two parallel primary conductors (PL) and at least one secondary winding arrangement that is electromagnetically coupled to the primary conductor arrangement, is mechanically separate from the primary conductor arrangement and can be moved in its longitudinal direction. The primary conductor arrangement and the secondary winding arrangement each comprise flat conductors having a small thickness (dL) of a few millimeters and a large width side (bL). The width sides of the primary conductors are disposed adjacently in one plane, and the secondary winding arrangement has at least one secondary coil (SS) that is embodied as a disk winding whose conductor width sides lie in one plane extends parrallel to the plane of the primary conductor arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6089512
Abstract: A track-guided transport system with power and data transmission and used for conveying goods. The transport system is provided with a transport element having drive and track-guide elements; storage, input and output units for goods; and a data processing and transmission unit. The transport element is provided with a transmission head as a secondary element for transferring power from a primary circuit laid along the track, the transmission head is mounted on the vehicle comprising a ferrite core and a secondary winding surrounding the core and magnetically is coupled to the primary circuit. An adjustable and controllable drive unit may be provided for forward motion; and a device may be provided for the forward motion for low-friction compensation of gravity and to ensure low-friction sliding along a track, as well as track-guide elements.

  • Patent number: 6005304
Abstract: A device for the contactless inductive transmission of electric energy to a movable consumer has a stationary primary circuit designed as an arrangement of elongated parallel leads connected to a source of high frequency alternating voltage or current and a transmission head arranged on the movable consumer. The transmission head consists of a ferrite core and of a secondary winding that surrounds the ferrite core and is magnetically coupled to the primary circuit. The primary circuit lead arrangement has an outer lead designed as an almost closed housing (7) and a middle lead (6) arranged approximately at the center of the housing. The current (11) that flows in the outer lead has the same intensity but an opposite flow direction to the current in the middle lead. The middle lead (6) is surrounded by a U-shaped ferrite core (2) that carries the secondary winding (W.sub.2).

  • Patent number: 5654621
Abstract: In a process for contactless energy transmission in charging the battery of a vehicle, in particular an electric car, by means of an inductive transmitter having a primary element (1) and a secondary element (2) which is attached to the vehicle, the secondary element (2) is made freely accessible and the primary element is power driven to move in all three spatial coordinates within a predetermined spatial area. In this process the primary element (1) and the secondary element (2) are placed, under sensor control, in predetermined positions relative to each other and then electrical energy is transmitted in the medium frequency range by means of the inductive transmitter.
