  • Patent number: 10812003
Abstract: A method and apparatus is described in which a series of short-circuiting pulses is applied to a motor. A current in the motor is determined after one or more of the series of short circuit pulses has completed. The duration of the short-circuit pulses is adjusted depending on the determined current. The method and apparatus may be used within an arrangement for catching a spinning motor.

  • Patent number: 10531319
Abstract: A method (100) is disclosed, the method being performed in a network controller of a Mobile Transport Network. The Mobile Transport Network comprises communication links interconnecting network entities of a cellular Radio Access Network (RAN) and a core network. The method comprises receiving, from a network entity in the core network, an indication of traffic load within the RAN or between the RAN and the core network (102). Also disclosed is a method (200), performed in a network entity of a core network, the core network being connected to a cellular RAN by a Mobile Transport Network. • Patent number: 10461679
Abstract: A method and apparatus for catching a rotating motor is described. Switches (typically the lower switches) of an inverter of a motor drive circuit are short-circuited for a brief period of time. The pulses generated by this process are analyzed to determine the speed and direction of rotation of the motor. The pulses are checked to determine whether they are orthogonal. If they are, the motor velocity determination is deemed to be reliable and then motor is magnetized and normal motor control can be resumed. If not, the motor velocity determination is deemed to be unreliable and a magnetization pulse before the velocity determination step is repeated.

  • Patent number: 5865660
Abstract: According to the present invention a building element comprises a generally planar panel defining at least one substantially straight side end and a first connecting lug extending co-planarly to the panel from the substantially straight side end. The first connecting lug extends along only a portion of said straight side end, and a slot is provided in the form of an elongate aperture extending partly into the first connecting lug or partly into the panel adjacent to the first connecting lug. The slot extends adjacent to the straight side end and parallel thereto, and the slot is open at one end thereof. The arrangement is such that two building elements with slots being open at opposite ends can be attached to each other by positioning the panels at right angles to each other and sliding the slots over each other in a direction along the straight side ends in order that the slots engage the elements. The invention also relates to structures formed by using the above elements.
