  • Publication number: 20220034680
Abstract: A system and method of topological localization of a person or an object that is moved by one or more people in a built environment includes at least one sensor for detecting the movement of the person or object in that environment, configured to provide differential data over time; a transmission unit of differential movement information detected by the sensor mechanically coupled to the person or object; a reception unit of the differential movement information transmitted by the transmission unit; and a processing unit configured to perform an evaluation procedure of the differential movement information, which recognizes the presence of a voluntary movement activity as opposed to an involuntary movement, and, in the event of a voluntary movement activity, recognizes a path within the environment by comparing differential movement parameters, using models of execution of voluntary movement activities in a plurality of predefined paths within the same built environment.

  • Publication number: 20210401673
Abstract: Robotic pill dispensers are described. A robotic pill dispenser may include a main body forming a cavity and comprising an inlet port and an outlet port. The pill dispenser may further include a container assembly disposed in the cavity of the main body. The container assembly may include a container body and a plurality of blades fastened to the container body and dividing the container assembly into a plurality of compartments. The plurality of blades may be movable relative to the container body. The pill dispenser may further comprise a processor configured to control the pill dispenser to align a first compartment of the plurality of compartments to the outlet port, determine whether one or more medications are present in the first compartment, and control the mechanical actuator to shake at least a portion of the pill dispenser.

  • Patent number: 10682097
Abstract: A system for monitoring and private assistance to people includes sensors that detect descriptive parameters of environmental conditions, and sensors and/or devices that monitor a person's position and, optionally, her physiological parameters. In particular, the system includes sensors and/or devices that monitor a person's position at the topological level and generate tracking signals in time and within a digital topological model of the environment; sensors that monitor posture and/or its variations in time and that provide status signals corresponding to predetermined postures and/or signals, indicating posture variations in time, which are processed by a logic control unit and software that evaluates position and posture and its variation in time and that classifies the signals according to predetermined categories of motor and/or postural activities, and that performs a comparison between detected parameters and predefined patterns of execution.
