Abstract: A model of geomechanical properties in an underground volume including an oil and/or gas reservoir is obtained using seismic data acquired with sensors placed to probe the underground reservoir, well logs of wells drilled inside the underground volume, and composition information of horizontal, deviated and vertical drill cuttings from the wells. The composition information is used to calibrate the well logs, which are then employed to improve models obtained from the seismic data.
