Abstract: A portable system carried by a user for assessing movement of the user includes at least one motion sensor adjacent a portion of the user's body under observation. An analog-to-digital converter is connected to the motion sensor for converting an analog signal therefrom into a digital signal. A logic circuit is connected to the analog-to-digital converter for calculating parameters based upon the digital signal. A first fuzzy logic processing circuit is connected to the logic circuit for processing the calculated parameters and for generating corresponding fuzzy classification labels based upon movement of the portion of the user's body under observation during an interval of time. A memory is connected to the first fuzzy logic processing circuit for storing at least one of the calculated parameters and the fuzzy classification labels.

Abstract: A blood pressure Holter system includes a pneumatic constriction sleeve to be worn on an arm of the user and includes a first sensor for acquiring systolic and diastolic values of arterial pressure of the user. A second sensor is carried adjacent a chest of the user for sensing movement of the user's body. The system further includes a detection and classification circuit for detecting and classifying movement of the user's body for producing an index of a state of physical exertion corresponding to systolic and diastolic values of arterial pressure. A fuzzy logic controller processes the systolic and diastolic values of arterial pressure using fuzzy logic.

Abstract: This invention relates to a fuzzy processor having an input X for at least a plurality of input variables X-i and an output U for one or more output results U-k, and including a fuzzyfication unit FU having an input coupled to the input X, a fuzzy rule processing unit RU having an input coupled to the output of the fuzzyfication unit FU, and a defuzzyfication unit DU having an input coupled to the output of the processing unit CU and an output coupled to said output U, wherein the output of the defuzzyfication unit DU is coupled to the input of the fuzzyfication unit FU and/or to the input of the processing unit RU.
