The UE receives, from the master node via the SCG, a second message indicating to the UE to perform a connection reconfiguration. An example method performed by the master node includes the master node receiving, from the UE via the SCG, the first message including information relating to the detected failure of the connection between the UE and the MCG. The master node determines, based on the first message and a user equipment context, to perform a connection reconfiguration. The master node provides, to the UE via the SCG, the second message indicating to perform the connection reconfiguration.

The method includes monitoring for a potential reception of a downlink message in a cell that the wireless device is camping on; detecting, based upon the reception of the downlink message, information regarding performing measurements; performing measurements based on the information regarding performing the measurements; and reporting the measurement results. In some embodiments, the message is a paging message or a message multiplexed with the paging message. In this way, latency might be reduced to start performing measurements.

    Abstract: A method performed by a remote User Equipment (UE) for handling a path switch failure of a connection in a wireless communications network. The remote UE detects the path switch failure. The path switch failure relates to a failure to switch path from a first path to a first network node, to a second path to a second network node. At least one path out of the first path and the second path comprises an indirect link. Upon detecting the path switch failure, the remote UE continues to apply a previous configuration for the connection that was used before the path switch was triggered. During continuing to apply the previous configuration, to recover from the path switch failure, the remote UE triggers a recovery procedure to continue the transmission. During the recovery procedure, the connection for the first path is kept.
